Title: Raider Application - Warlock (DPS) - Evilkneevle
Post by: Applicant on June 06, 2017, 11:26:09 pm
Hello, Iron Edge!

I am applying for the main raid.

Character: Evilkneevle
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Kazzak/Evilkneevle/advanced
Class/Spec: Warlock (DPS)
Member Type: raider

Personal Info:

Hi :)

My name is Patrick, I'm 26 years old and I live in Switzerland. I'm working in a laboratory specialized on so called "in vitro diagnostic".

I'm playing my Warlock for 12 years now and your raid/guild is exactly what I'm looking for.

So I'm applying:)

Class/Spec:

My main spec is demonology with a Gearscore of 911 equiped. I'm playing this spec since the start of legion and I never stoped having fun playing it. For me its the most demanding spec the warlock has and I will always work to perfect it. My artifactweapon got 54 traits at the moment.

My dual specc is affliction, with 909 equiped and 52 traits I can switch if the boss encounter is much better for affliction.

I also got the destruction specc on 52 traits with 911 equiped BUT
since the patch 7.2.5 is close I just pulled the weapon to trait 52 in case i wanna dual spec destro after the patch.

My main specc will stay demonology for sure!

well, to say what stats i prefere and what rotation i use, i could just copy past you the recommanded rotation i could find in every guide.
i guess if you check my character on armory you will see what stats i go for.

I play my warlock since 12 years and i can adjust my playstyle to max my value. Rotation is good, but in some situations its necessary to just change little things, thats the experience players get after playing the character for years. thats my opinion.

Since English is not my native language so i would rather like to show you how i understand my class.

I can promise that you won't regret it.

Alts:

I don't twink very active in legion,

first reason is that i wanna focus on my main character, to be able to switch the spec in some situations and so on.

second reason is, that i love spending time with my wife and family, and i dont wanna miss this.

Professions:

engineering and enchanting

but only on 700

Raiding Experience:

I always played DPS character,

Previous add-ons i raided heroic and i played a lot of PvP, i also raided mythic but not that much like i do in Legion
I got emerald nightmare 7/7 mythic 2/3 mythic ToV and 10/10 mythic NH down

Previous Guilds:

I raided on the server Blackrock in the Guild Crystalize,

There were some ppl always flaming each other. Thats way I left.

Then I made trial raid with eXample from kazzak but they got 4 raid days, that was to much for me.

Now I'm looking for a new guild.

Availability:

Usually I'm online in the evening, if its not a raid day, im playing spontaneous but i'm online almost every day

Communication:

My english speech is better than im writing it,

i have TS3 and discord, i can listen and i have a good microphone. yep i can use it and im not afraid to speak:)

Computer / Connection:

I have a good computer with no FPS drops. My internet connection is one of the best in switzerland, ping was never a problem on kazzak.

No problems so far for years with my internet :)

Addons/UI:

i use DBM, excourses raid tools, weak auras, RC loot council (if needed), doom cooldown puls, plate buffs, skada, castbars and cooldown count,

others are not for raids.

I have a gaming mouse where i binded my skills

here a screen of my ui

http://imgur.com/a/veAh0

Other Games:

I play few other games but only casual

Hearthstone, Steam games like Friday the 13th, Counter Strike etc.

Why Iron Edge?

Iron Edge offers exactly what I'm looking for

a two day raiding guild, focusing on progress but still having a good time playin gthe game. I guess I can expect a mature attitude in your raid and thats also important for me. Im thinking that if only two ppl flaming all the time it can pull down the whole raid.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

Im not flawless, but i can say that if im doing an error i won't do it again.  I'm able to use maximum focus while progressing and i can take criticism to become better.
I can offre you me as a good warlock player with years of experience and the will to perfect my playstyle.
So if you need a warlock, im sure i can help you progressing:)

Where did I hear about Iron Edge?

I found you on WoW Progress.

Last Words?

In case i reach the trial phase.

Please note that im in holidays from 18th June to 28th June 2017.

Hi Evilkneevle!

Have you killed Gul'dan yourself or have you purchased a boost?

Hi Rashkebab

I only killed gul'dan one time but it was not a boost.

I applied at a raiding guild with 10/10 down and i was trial there, my logs were to bad for them they said and they had 4 raiding days, that was to much for me anyway.
Befor I applied there i had 9/10 down

maybe its like a little boost cause  i havent had days of progress on gul'dan. Therefor i didnt pay anything for it it was just the guild that was testing my potential.

Cheers

Ah, I see!

You probably should have probably mentioned that in your application! Especially since they gave you the mount. Makes it look very suspicious.

Are you aware that your holiday is during the opening of ToS?

yes i am aware of this, but i cant change it, we booked the holiday few months ago :)

hoped that the raid will open one week later :^)

when i say i bought the mount i mean that one of the guild members got it and i asked him if i can buy it.

Just to prevent another misunderstanding :)

Hiyo, Evilkneevle!

You have made quite a decent application, unfortunately our guild are currently rocking that triple warlock combo already. Having yet another pushed into our roster would be a little too much.

Good luck with finding a raiding guild  :)

Evilkneevle,

We do have 3 locks although over the last month the guild has extended lockout and progressed on gul'dan mythic. Our 3 locks are Syrian, glorious and alzaroth.

You are coming across very defensive and yourself mentioned that you haven't been boosted, i would now like to mention that I have spoken to someone within the guild eXample, and have advised me that you never applied or been in the guild and that you had purchased a boost run. This is backed up by you only attending one run with them over the last month and never showing as joined there guild via wowprogress.

So as mooneclipse has already stated yes we have 3 locks on our roster which you could also view our entire roster on our epgp page found in the top right of this forum. He has declined you on the grounds that he cannot fit a 4th lock on the roster.  As like moon good luck on your search for a new guild, just for yourself in future when you apply to a guild please be honest if you have paid for a boost or not as it is very easy to find out, aswell as claiming that you made trial with a top what 50-70guild world wide.

Regards

Vejeta

Thanks for your app Evilkneevle!

I'm not really going to bother doing the legwork that Vejeta has on this, but regardless of what the truth of the matter is; I would recommend that whatever guild you apply to next, that you mention straight in the application that you only bought the mount, not the boost.

I don't really know how other guilds look at boosted raid experience, maybe we're a little old-fashioned that we like that to be disclosed. If you leave it out like you did in this one, it screams like you're trying to hide it.

Good luck on your search!
