Social Application - Priest (DPS/Healer) - Laureth
« on: June 25, 2016, 12:06:57 am »
Hello, Iron Edge!

I am applying to be a social member.

Character: Laureth
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Kazzak/Laureth/advanced
Class/Spec: Priest (DPS/Healer)
Member Type: social

Personal Info:

Hello there!
My name is Filip. I live in Poland, near Warsaw. I'm currently studying at University of Warsaw. Attempting 5th year, soon done (hopefully) with Master's Degree. From 1st of July I am starting a work in an international company. I am 23 years old.
I also have a dog :)

Class/Spec:

I first touched World of Warcraft slightly before it's release date. After it was released I used to run a hunter. In TBC/WoTLK I leveled a few other characters (still maining hunter) and generally after finishing Naxxramas (WoTLK) I made a shadow priest. So far this have been the most fun class and spec I have ever played in Warcraft. Their had ups and downs, but I mostly like this class for it's theme and unusualness. Also it has always been a fun to challenge others as shadow priest in DPS (mainly because shadow priests weren't used to be a number one class in pure DPS).
I usually run Discipline as my off spec - while doing dungeons. Don't worry, I used to heal as Discipline and Holy a lot.

Alts:

Yeah I do.
Lauryth - druid, level 40.
So far this may seem like a joke (when you check my armory), but let me explain everything everything in the last words column :))

Professions:

Currently I am running with mining and herbalism (herbalism/skinning on druid) because I started on a fresh account and it's always nice to make some gold before investing milions in AH. I will swap to Enchanting/Tailoring on priest and Jewelcrafting/Leatherworking on my Druid as fast as I hit level 100.

Raiding/PVP Experience:

Let me start from PVE:
Vanilla WoW: I used to run Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Onyxia's Lair and Ahn'Qiraj. Everything done as a hunter - Souljin, realm: Nordrassil (he is left there as level 78).

TBC: Karazhan, Magtheridion's and Gruul's Lair, 5/6 SSC and 4/4 TK. Few first bosses in BT aswell - Mainly done on Souljin and another character: Rogue - can't remember the name.

WoTLK: Cleared Naxxramas, Obsidian Sanctum and EoE. I had a small break when Ulduar hit (I managed to kill a few bossess) then I was back in hardcore raiding while ToGC came and later ICC. I cleared ToGC and cleared ICC 10m HC; 25m HC - everything except LK.
So I started the expansion as a DK (nobody in the guild wanted to swap, so I have). I have cleared everything till Ulduar on my DK (as tank). Later on, just before ToGC and ICC I leveled a shadow priest and this was my main character up till WoD release. Also at this point (near the end of expansion) I met two people I used to raid the most with: Eraserr, a rogue (always dying) and Rosen, a hunter (used to be a rogue too, but a shit one :P ).

Cataclysm: BoT, BWD and ToTFW. Everything cleared. Later when Firelands hit I had to take another short raiding break due to real life issues. Also my old guild - Horde Empire has stopped raiding. When I came back (just when Dragon Soul has been released) I managed to contact Rosen and Eraserr. The three of us continued to run Horde Empire with great success. We cleared DS 10 man heroic before nerf patch.

Pandaria: A few people from Horde Empire decided to come back and we had a quite good guild running. We attempted Mogushan Vaults, HoF and ToES. Sadly the progress we made was far away from what we expected. The guild stopped raiding and I wasn't prepared to swap guilds. I really liked it there. I used to play wow casually but never really tried Throne of Thunder (I guess that's the only raid I haven't really done properly as raider). Later on, like a month or two after SoO has been released I was asked by Rosen and Eraserr to try applying to their new guild - Purged on Kazzak (until then I was still on Nordrassil - but the server was dead). Even though I haven't had a gear for raiding in SoO I still applied and got acctepted as a trial. I think I have proven my value, since I made it to the raider and then officer rank. As far as I remember we finished 13/14 SoO HC/Mythic (?). We didn't kill Garrosh only. I was pretty sure that this was my last expansion so firstly I didn't plan to play WoD.

WoD: I started to play WoD 7 days after the launch. I couldn't find a proper game to stay in and partly because I used to be addicted  to warcraft. However the guild (still Purged) had 2 or 3 shadow priests so after contacting the officers, we decided it would be the best if I made a mage. So I did. We cleared HM HC, 1/7 HM Mythic, and then Blackrock Foundry (I had problems to attend the raids in that time so I haven't got Blackhand HC kill). Slightly after that, I had to stop raiding due to a few things. A big changes were about to come in my personal life - I passed a Bachelor's Degree, I started working with late shifts (I wasn't really able to attend raids) and I decided to spend more time with friends and mostly my girlfriend.

PVP: On my shadow priest in Cataclysm I used to lead a Rated BGs group. We made it to 2000 rating.
I also achieved 2000 rating in 3v3 arena in Pandaria.

Previous Guilds:

There were so many, I can't remember them all.

Vanilla: Kaos Legion, De Muerte
TBC: Horizon, Insurgence
WoTLK: Mostly Novus, later on Temple of Bachus and finally Horde Empire
Cataclysm: Horde Empire (raider and GM in Dragon Soul)
Pandaria: Horde Empire and Purged eventually
WoD: Purged and IE as social? :))

Availability:

I can't really say anything about it. I will explain everything properly in the last column. Generally speaking I will be working from 9-17 each day, during the week and from October I'm starting my 5th year of studying.

Communication:

I think my English is pretty fluent. Spoken and written, doesn't matter. I have everything I need to talk, listen and record.

Computer / Connection:

I have very decent PC. I can handle 20m Mythic without any issue on my PC and I also managed to get a gaming laptop that  can handle WoW 20m Mythic raiding. I rarely DC.

Addons/UI:

My UI is rather simple. I will kindly ask not to upload it, since it's not really worth it. I am running with Postal (I run around 500 auctions a day), Auctioneer, Auctionator, Bagnon and ShadowedUnitFrames. Of course I used to run DBM and other raiding addons.

Other Games:

After stopping WoW, when Purged stopped raiding in WoD I have played Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. I hit Legend rank few times. My best rank at the end of the season was in March 2016 - rank 219 in Europe.

Why Iron Edge?

I would like to join you because two friends of mine are here - Eraserr and Rosen. I know Rosen personally, we have met in real life. Not much of a lie here - it's mainly because he said I should join as social.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

Well, honestly I can offer knowledge, knowledge and knowledge. I was a dedicated raider that knew it would take sometime to kill bossess. Wipes weren't anything special when people tried to correct their own mistakes. I generally hate when, after a long explanation a person makes another mistakes. Of course I understand that sometimes people are tired, unpatient and even the best ones make mistakes. But I always played this game and always advised the others to ask if something wasn't clear. If someone asks me about something, I think I will know the answer. I have been playing warcraft for so many years that I hardly remember how it all started. I used to run a guild by myself, I used to RL during raids, I used to run Rated BGs team (and being the calling target guy). I think I experienced everything I could. Experience is the thing I can offer. Sadly I won't be able to raid and I am saying it now :)

Where did I hear about Iron Edge?

Friends. Mostly Rosen as we speak almost every second day on Viber.

Last Words?

Yeah. And this is going to be a long one.

I managed to show you my hunter - Souljin (78 troll on Nordrassil - my first WoW character).
Now probably you all wonder how is that possible that my armory on Laureth or Lauryth shows nothing but 1200 achievments points. Here comes the deal:

My first warcraft account contains all my characters I mentioned in this application. After TBC hit I let a younger brother of mine play a little bit of WoW. I never had anything against him using my account to play. After we stopped raiding in WoD (as Purged) and I knew it will be an end for me to raid, I let him take my old account. I told him to swap his passwords and stuff, so I wouldn't ever ask for it again. I created a new account just for Hearthstone and this is my second (now it's my main and the only account) I am personally running. I started to play WoW casually (mainly making gold and leveling) after watching Warcraft movie and getting WoD battlechest for free. That's the reason why Laureth and Lauryth have so little achievments and no mounts.

A few links incoming:

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/kazzak/Imm%c3%adgrant/simple
That's my shadow priest. I have made most achievments on him. He was called Immigrant but the name was taken on Kazzak when I arrived.

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/kazzak/Jessika/simple
This is the mage I used to main in Warlords of Draenor. Jessika sounds like a porn star but it's not the name that does DPS!

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/kazzak/Souljin/simple
That's one of the alts I made on Kazzak. He owns a name Souljin as a thanks for my first WoW character.
