You see, there was this idea around of creating a competitive dota team within IE. While we discussed it at length, the problem seemed to be no one with the drive to keep the thing going seemed interested in playing.
I think it's safe for me to assume that idea is now dead and buried, at least for now. Which is why I don't think I'm stepping on anyone's toes by deciding to take charge of what will be a much more casual approach to an Iron Edge gaming team.
So, my first idea is to sign us up to a tournament that will take place tonight! Yes, this means that tonight, we will be playing competitive Dota.
At the moment 14/16 spots in the tournament have been claimed, but I can't sign Iron Edge up until 5 people go sign up and join the team. The process is very simple
1. go4dota.com
2. register
3. go to my teams
4. join iron edge (password sceclol)
I'll basically just be using a first come, first serve for this first expedition into the world of competitive gaming. So the sooner you confirm you'll play, the better.
I'm not going to be enforcing any kind of practice schedule, as this is the casual approach to play. We'll simply try to take part in whatever tournaments we find, if they're at reasonable times.
So if anyone is available from 8pm CEST tonight, please let me know Vorte and Grishnag have already confirmed they'll play, so there's two spots to claim on tonight's roster.

checkin begins Sunday Aug 12th 2012 @ 6:00 pm CEST
tournament starts 2 hours later.
I will only check us in if 5 people confirm they'll be there at 8pm cest. Confirm in this thread, or just through being there later today. If more than 5 people are available, we'll just pick the strongest team we can put together.
