Iron Edge SC2 Open #3 is now over!
Seven months after the original Iron Edge SC2 tournaments, we are celebrating its return in form of the third Iron Edge tournament with unprecedented participation.
Twenty players signed up for the tournament, blood was shed and circuitry was slashed as they fought their way through the brackets in the name of glory - in an attempt to claim the title the biggest baller in Iron Edge, but only one could prevail!
Iron Edge SC2 Open #3 is now over and we have a winner! Congratulations to:
Sparrowhawk
for becoming the biggest baller in Iron Edge.
Sparrowhawk faced off Palmar in the finals where he won clearly 3-0 in a best of five series.
In the first game on Metalopolis, players spawned in cross positions, Palmar opened up with hatch first but Sparrowhawk's trusty 4-gate with a proxy pylon made a short work of it and ended game one.
In second game on Shattered Temple, both opponents spawned in close land positions. Palmar built a hatch inside his main base and another in expansion and tried to force his way through Sparrowhawk's defences with mass zerglings. However Sparrowhawk's beautiful micro with his blink stalkers gave Palmar no other choice but to gg.
In third game on Testbug map, Palmar was ahead of his opponent in almost every possible aspect of the game. Palmar was food capped twice and his army supply was almost twice as big during his attack. But despite the odds, Sparrowhawk's truly overpowered forcefields turned the tide and slowly killed Palmar's massive roach/hydra army.
This concludes the Iron Edge's third Starcraft 2 tournament. Thanks everyone for participating and congratulations to the victors of the matches and congratulations to Sparrowhawk for the first place.
