Title: Rogue B-Team App
Post by: Aretum on December 09, 2009, 02:40:09 pm
Personal Information:
I'm Garth aka Aretum from the UK. 28 and usually on wow toooo much.

Char Info:
An assassination rogue for the most (51/15/5), not quite the common assassination spec, but there's good reason behind it all. Offspec is a really really odd subtlety spec, an experiment that needed trying... 'tank' spec (works well enough to solo Terokk, nearly solo'd TFA). Equipped mostly in 245s now (but can't shake the mirror of truth) and grossly over hitcap (recommended anyway - not an easy thing to keep down).

Engineering and mining 450... [wowitem]Jeeves[/wowitem] always on standby, unless everyone runs out of candles (well, non-priests need them for cake).

Raiding:

cleared naxx 10/25
uld 10 upto yogg (a server change ago)
uld 25 very little, but not really got much of an opportunity to complete it currently
ToC10 and 25 Cleared, not quite downed beasts on ToGC10

Availability wise-

Mon: 1930->whenever
Tues: 1930->whenever
Weds: 2000->whenever
Thurs: 2000->whenever
Fri: 2000->whenever
Sat: whenever
Sun: whenever

Pretty much all the time in the evenings, always get the word across somehow if I'm unable to make something or likely to be a little late.

Gaming/Wow History

Um, gaming since er, a while ago, (if spelling/grammer games on the speccy count). Went from that upto PC 1990ish? Plenty of FPS's, the joys of unreal (with voodoo2), half life, coaxing a 486 to play TA well. All sorts during uni days, including too much CS (sniping with the trusty DE), many a LAN party organised and had then too. Since then, quite a bit of TF2, Fallout3, GoW2.
Started playing WoW in January thanks to a friend suggesting to give it a go, despite knowing I'd get hooked. Aretum was my first toon, and still the most played by a long shot.

Started in a social guild over on Aerie Peak, before moving to a 'casual raiding' one. Ended up leaving with a few guildies from there forming a (small) progression guild. After some recruiting issues there and disagreements between players, left to come over to Dunemaul with a friend.

Why do you want to join Iron Edge?
After moving server, the guild I joined didn't quite feel right, know someone in Iron Edge and they said the B-team was looking for a rogue... I'm looking for a new home, and hope to help get the B-team a new van (looked up the images on google... it er, well, they leave something to be desired).

What can I offer to Iron Edge?
A player that knows the class he plays. Always willing to give guildies a hand and have a laugh doing so. Slightly insane, and equipped with a [wowitem]Wind-Up Train Wrecker[/wowitem].

Last Words?
Generally "dammit", sometimes "oops", and if in the middle of wiping and the tanks just dropped "I'll take you all on!" followed by "dammit" when evasion runs out.

28? Jesus...

Friend of mine from university. I have no idea how good he actually is at WoW/Rouging, but I'm pretty sure he's more than capable of min-maxing and doing phat DPS if given a chance.

Plus, the RL connection means he is under peer pressure to not suck.

Thanks for the application! We could use another rogue at the moment, as we've currently got 2.5 of them.. Armory is bugging out on me here, but will check your gear later..
Can I ask you not to get saved to ICC25/ToGC25 if you aren't already? Might be a trial in it for you!

Do you speak cockney?

standard muti spec, gear looks good enough. would be an idea to drop pyrite infuser since you are well over the hit cap and you are a few % off the expertise dodge cap. You need 6.5% which is 26 expertise(214 expertise rating). There is a nice expertise trinket from 10 man ToC id suggest that as a replacement for the pyrite infuser

as we've currently got 2.5 of them..
i think u mean 2.00000001 of them xD

Slightly insane, and equipped with a [wowitem]Wind-Up Train Wrecker[/wowitem].
Awesome i hate those train sets

and if in the middle of wiping and the tanks just dropped "I'll take you all on!" followed by "dammit" when evasion runs out.
also good =P thats a whole 30 seconds of evasion now, will help with our squishy tanks *cough* shann *cough* =p

Nice App

atleast shann is less squishy than tronz :)

But its hard when they are not strung bares with 60k hp.

I hope you are fast with your trainwrecker, with a new instance incoming with lots of trash I fear that it will be useful again. Damn the train spam in naxx.....

Awesome, well saved to neither.

Yeah the expertise drop happened when moving from the T8 chest to the one now - was nicely on the money expertise wise then.

No CoDMW2... pc or xbox360 being the platform of choice though?

Aretum did good in today's raid!
Good damage (his gear not being top-notch considered), good at his assigned specific tasks, responsive on vent and didn't seem to have any brainlag.
