Fable III
« on: November 01, 2010, 03:11:16 pm »
Finished it yesterday, did anyone else play it yet?
If yes, did you notice any impacts of your good/evil behaviour?

Seems all to be eyewash to me. The only factor apparently is the amount of money you have collected near the end of the game, without any previous warning. Bollocks.

Anyway the game is such a mixed bag:

+ English humour
+ a couple good quests
+ they mostly fixed the loading times from Fable2

- supershallow "combat system": Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y A+LStick Y Y Y Y Y Y Y the whole game long!
- lots of shitty run&fetch quests
- nonexisting morality system
- wtf there are 9 producers listed in the credits for this heap of mediocrity

Fable 1 was OK. Fable 2 was mediocre. I'm not surprised Fable 3 turned out to be a disappointment as well. I'll pick this one up when it's 20 euros or something.

Well, the loading screens (which show artwork like this) are actually one of the better parts of the game...

But, I've never seen the male hooker ingame. I didn't look for them thou. Are they actually in? (You get to allow the very first brothel in the town to open very very late in the game. You prob have to visit it then...?)

Insanity doesn't run in my family. Rather, it strolls through, taking its time, getting to know everyone personally.

Not that one. Loading screens show a bunch of posters showcasing silly (steampowered) contraptions and locations, in the style of the poster seen on Sparrowhawk's image ("Bowerstone Burlesque"). Can't find them anywhere on the web.

gonna be buying fable 3 after my testweek in 7 days :D

btw, i did RLY enjoy fable 2 :o

i'm wondering if the haters even liked fable 2, cause imo fable 3 looked quite promising so far (im taking the game for what it is, not a hardcore RPG but more or less a casual action adventure rpg, and there was quite some shit to collect/do in fable 2 imo)

You can collect shit in Fable3, too. So if that's your thing, there's time to waste.

And no, I finished Fable2 but didn't enjoy it cause is was a technical nightmare without good gameplay.
