(Online) Poker

It seems there are some Poker players in IE, I've been told Grilly is quite good! Anyone else!?

If that's the case, it'd be nice to post hands now and then, or anything really. I started playing pretty recently but it's going pretty good so far. Playing NL5 on Full Tilt, steadily climbing. It'd be great to know other IE Poker players!

Here's two funny hands I played this morning. Had a huge maniac right behind me with a VPIP of 100% (he played every single hand). Here's the first hand;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, Q
5 folds, BU raises to $0,15, Hero calls $0,13, BB calls $0,10.

Flop: ($0,45) 9, 9, 3 (3 players)
Hero bets $0,3, BB calls $0,30, BU folds.

Turn: ($1,05) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $0,82, BB raises to $1,64, Hero raises to $2,69 (All-In), BB calls $1,05.

River: ($6,43) Q (2 players)

Final Pot: $6,43

Results follow:
Hero shows een full-house, vrouwen full of negens (K Q)
BB shows (A 8)

Hero wins

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And the second hand, against the same guy, who was tilting like no tomorrow. Called with Queens because the UTG2 was extremely tight and only raised with AA/KK/AK/QQ.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Preflop: Hero is BU with Q, Q
UTG2 raises to $0,15, 4 folds, Hero calls $0,15, SB calls $0,13, BB folds.

Flop: ($0,50) 7, 4, 2 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG2 bets $0,2, Hero raises to $0,70, SB raises to $1,54, UTG2 folds, Hero calls $0,84.

Turn: ($3,78) J (2 players)
SB raises $2,6 (All-In), Hero calls $2,60.

River: ($8,98) J (2 players)

Final Pot: $8,98

Results follow:
Hero shows two pairs, vrouwen and boeren (Q Q)
SB shows (K 7)

Hero wins

I play for money but I'd rather not play for money with friends and guildies, it's not cool winning at the cost of non-randoms. :P

But yeah it'd be cool to play a few games, not sure how you can set that up though. If you play using Poker software you'll lose money because of the rake (sort of taxes) they charge. Does free software exist where you can play games without real money? That'd be a nice solution and if more people are up we could perhaps get a nice table together, not just heads-up.

Everyone plays hold'em :)

I play casually with friends for around 10 euros monthly, we get a pot of maybe 80 euros if everyone shows up.

My main weakness is playing 1v1 though, I've ended up in 2nd place almost every time.

I try to play relatively tight, especially at the start of the game.  I rarely engage in pots with more than 3 people calling pre-flop. I don't play very tight though, I call every pair above 9's and most combinations of 1/k & 7+

We can play using the facebook one, which is good, no installs etc. But we'd have to add each other and have facebook and just get the app. Anyway, wana come on IRC so I can try something now?

Well because on fulltilt website some program which i forgot name is allowed. And that program using pros to know how most of ppl playing, what their style is etc. However if u dont have that program and someone has , that one has big advantage against you. There are sites where that program is not allowed and there u should play if u are begineer. (I am not doing poker, just telling from Sapa's stories)

is that the tournament indicator thing?

Anyway, I'm trying to play on full tilt thing, got some money through pokerstrategy.com

It's pretty fun, although I'm playing really low stakes... 0.01$ and 0.02$

I don't really know how to play anyway. We need to get sapa in here to teach us!
