Application - Safier - Protection Paladin (A-Team)
« on: February 16, 2011, 02:15:37 am »
Personal Information

Hey everyone, my name is Kasper, I'm 23 years old and i live in Denmark in a city called hvals? (near roskilde). Im an workless electrician. so i?ve got plenty of time in my hand. Im living home with my mother and i spend alot of time with my friends playing wow or drinking mainly. wuhuuu party!!

if you want to know more about me, you can ask me in-game or here on the forum.

Character Information

My paladin is my lastest char to be level 85. but my best geared along with my shaman, i also have a mage. but i wanted to try something new, so im shooting for a tank spot :)

And here she is: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/dunemaul/safier/simple

Hopefully with my tank gear on :)
i have not done any tanking before cataclysm, but i would say i have a good knowlegde about how to tank. And i feel good about it, being the one taking all the hits to the face :)

Raiding

As it is now i got plenty of time to raid all work days including sunday. but friday and satuerday im probally offline. due to visiting friends or out partying with them :)
And if i should get a work as an electrician (i hope i do) then i will only be available from around four in the afternoon and i can stay up all night long if thats ever needed (i can sleep when i get old). but i dont believe that will be a problem. As for raiding experience, i have only done magmaw and a good try at omnitron normal (got those bastards to 5-10% before the other tank died).
but im always prepared and much more than that.

Gaming (optional) and World Of Warcraft history

This is going to be some writing, but i will start some place at the end of vanilla.
i have been a member of the old guild After Life (allience, dunemaul) where i did all MC, BWL, AQ40 and some naxxramas. all this with my mage at that time.
Then TBC and i wanted to play a shaman(you know the spacecow kind). which i have been playing through out wotlk and done all Raids in TBC and most in wotlk not icecrown citadel though. Then i had a break for almost a year from wow, and played some eve online and battlefield: bad company 2. and returned the day cataclysm came out (i was promised the good old wow when it was hard to raid) i thought it sounded fun so i started right away :)

What can I offer to Iron Edge?[/b]

Im a player who knows when it gets serious, and when it is pure fun and laughs.
I always come prepared for every raid. i meet up with flasks and consumables for my self and sometimes others. im a good learner when it comes to new fights and i have always watched videos and read tactics. im a really helpful person. i would do instances to gear up ppl/friends all day long or tag along with a pvp party to have a little fun.

Last words?
thats all from me. i want to thank my mom and my friends for being with me this long time. and i want to thank iron edge for taking the time to read this application.
ohh and Detfejler newly joined member is my irl mate :)

Regards

Kasper

Hi Safier,

Pretty nice application, you should how ever make sure to have your gear the way you want it to be displayed before making a application. In this case you are missing a couple of enchants.

I would have prefered you to have divine guardian aswell, really good talent that helps the raid out alot.

But stick around to see what a officer has to say

Hey.  Nice app!  Sadly we're pretty full on tanks atm, the a-raid at least.  We do have a lot of raid groups with varying play times and lengths, though, so it's possible that you'll find one that meets your needs.  Just need the raid leaders to reply here!

What raid schedule would you be happy with?  Currently most raids do 2-3 a week, with the exception of mine that, sadly, doesn't need more tanks.

Anyway, good luck.

im glad to hear from you all :)

well im pretty much available from sunday to thursday. at all the times you need me.

and for skinke: ye i see i missed out the pants enchant. and i really had no idea that i could enchant my bracers with more than just the socket bonus from BS. The shoulder enchant, i didnt reach exalted to therazane yet, but i am working on it. The divine guardian talent, well i think i could spare a point for that, i was trying to make an all-round tank spec :)

Tynx: i got a resto shaman and pretty much played both TBC and Wotlk as resto. So i want to try something new :)

im very excited about your dicision.

Really could only do with a Holy Paladin or an Arcane Mage with the right gear, otherwise our roster is pretty much full atm.

Gearing: You could get Therazane ring, better than your 1st ring that. Change your Str trinket if you can.

Reforging: You don't really need hit or expertise rating when it comes tanking. There aren't many adds during boss fights, so its better to reforge them to Mastery if there is dodge, or to dodge if there is Mastery rating on the item.

Gemming: For red sockets; you can use parry+stam, blue; mastery+stam, yellow; +40 mastery, Meta gem is fine.

Talent and Glyph: I'd suggest you to go with this talent since healing yourself is very important when our healers might go oom during the end of the fight. For the glyphs; go change Glpyh of Hammer of Right. to Word of Glory. Glyph of Salvation to Ascetic Crusader I'd suggest.

That should be enough. GL

WoG/DG spec is the way to go!

Have to say that I find HoR glyph far more useful than WoG glyph, btw!

And the adds at Nef are immune to fear now I've been told.
