Anime OVAs
« on: August 06, 2010, 08:01:35 pm »
Seeing the Bleach thread I thought it would be nice to share some OVA experiences here.
Please no OMGWTF thats total shit posts cos it goes too long quate to a new post if u like.

For now the ones i recall :

Ruroini kenshin - two stories over there also knows as samurai X, series was somehow weak but OVA rocks.
Karas - Some may not like the storyline, but its definitely worth just for the visuals.
Oh my Goddess - a good seinen would be a nice break of action.
Animatrix - :P

A) a better anime allround
B) animation quality is better
C) killing nazi vampire... things is more enjoyable then whatever the hell happened in the original anime
D) it actualy follows the manga it is based on

OVA is something like irrelevant new episode of that anime or what exactly it is?

Wiki says it's something that's done directly to video (original video animation or some such.)  Basically it comes on on disc/tape instead of being aired on tv first.

Totally agree with that. Also thanks for the Black Rock Shooter, good animation and story. Liked that one. Ofc heavy emo drama going on aswell :P

souka. but its lame that they are 30min. they could have done maybe 40min or 60min. well can't be helped.

Check Karas and Ruroini kenshin, they have more episodes, Kenshin specially is about the time before kenshin becomes what he is at anime beginning from his childhood (4 episodes + 2 more shot later, first 4 called trust&betrayel and reminisence??)
