Title: Raider Application - Paladin (DPS) - Pratiarch
Post by: Applicant on October 17, 2017, 12:43:00 am
Hello, Iron Edge!

I am applying for the main raid.

Character: Pratiarch
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/Kazzak/Pratiarch/advanced
Class/Spec: Paladin (DPS)
Member Type: raider

Personal Info:

Heya all!
My name is Peter (aka Pratiarch), i am 24 years old, I live in the northern part of Denmark. I am currently attending a Masters in Media Technology (Same as Fabulousfu).

Class/Spec:

Have been playing Retribution for most of WoD and all of Legion. I have Prot as offspecc, i can't and won't heal. The Gear I use for Ret and Prot are almost the same, my current ilvl varies between 935-938 depending on AoE/ST.

Well, I can link my logs which kind of shows that i at least know how to smash the buttons. https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/character/26906452/13#metric=dps

On a more serious note. You can usually spot a good Retri on how many spenders (see: Templars Verdict/Divine Storm/Executioners Sentence) they miss out of the Judgement window. Rets also rely heavily on their CD (see: Wings) usage, in the window of wings its very important to get 15 stacks asap (which is acquired by spending holy power).

If more than one target Rets are usually better off casting Divine Storm rather than Templars Verdict (This is of course not always the case, since sometimes there are priority targets that needs to go down faster.)

I play with the legendary cloak at the moment which also switches up the play style a bit. The cloak requires me to cast a spender no later than 4 seconds of each other, this provide a substantial damage increase  if played properly.

As for stats, i try to minimize the mastery, rest of the secondary stats are pretty equal - I sim ALOT tho. In Antorus Mastery will probably make a return, but until then i try to avoid it.

Alts:

I do play Sub Rogue, BM Hunter and Arms Warrior on the side, but nothing serious - they are all Horde but stuck on Auchindoun (my previous server).

Professions:

*taken directly from my social application:

Blacksmith and Minning. I dont believe that Legion is offering anything "cool" for Blacksmiths this time around, but i do like to collect old recipes just for the heck of it.

Raiding Experience:

*taken directly from my social application:

Raided back in TBC (Old but gold) and again in Legion - EN 7/7M, ToV 1/3M, NH 9/10M and ToS 3/9M. All of these were when done while the raids were relevant content.

All my raiding in legion has been logged, feel free to take a look.

Never been able to fully commit to high level pvp.

Furthermore as for roles, I have always played DPS.

Previous Guilds:

*taken directly from my social application:

Were in Memento on Auchindoun for the majority of Legion. Left due to guild breaking down as of recently.

Availability:

Since i am attending University i will have exams in January.

Besides that i am fairly free most afternoons past 16.00CEST

Communication:

I do have TS3, Discord and Skype installed. I am efficient enough in English to both understand and speak it.

I have a headset and a microphone - so i am able to both listen and communicate if need be.

Computer / Connection:

*taken directly from my social application:

Stable internet and a decent home build computer which get upgrades when money allow it.

Addons/UI:

*taken directly from my social application:

Details, DBM and Weakauras.

Started using Details halfway through NH (was using Recount before) - and i must say that all the extra information is really beautiful. It's nice for when you have to look up damage on different abilities and such in a hurry if you aint logging.

DBM is awesome because of the timers, always used it.

Weakauras are good! It has huge potential and you can get visual icons, buff timers and regular boss timers for everything, being able to customize my own tailored auras are also a huge plus, really like it!

Screenshot of my UI https://imgur.com/a/mHUx3 (Standard Blizzard UI is awesome)

Other Games:

*taken directly from my social application:

Diablo, Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, Battlefield, ARK, Rocket League and Battlerite.

Why Iron Edge?

I am already in Iron Edge as a social member, which was my intention from the start, but i've been starting to feel an itch in my fingers again - an itch that can only be cured by raiding!

My experience from being social has also offered my insight on the community which is a big plus. I do already have two real life friends in the guild (Psyanite and Fab), and i would love to raid with them once again.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

I can offer a good and  steady PvE performance, i like playing mythic+ aswell! I am very serious about showing up and giving it 100% every time.

Where did I hear about Iron Edge?

*taken directly from my social application:

Through a rl friend (Fabulousfu).

Last Words?

Ready to give Vejeta a race for the money!

for the record - I like Vejeta, he's my bro, it is just friendly banter!

I hope i will be offered the chance to prove myself and that i get a shot at end game raiding!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Peter aka Pratiarch

youre fighting mythic kj,
3% left, youre faced with 2 options, do you do mechanics or go for the parse?

There can be no parses without kill.
