B-raid Bananlaksen resto/ele shaman
« on: February 25, 2009, 03:22:35 am »
Hello Iron Edge

Got really exited when i saw your thread on Dunemaul.org about b-raid applications. Finally i a place for an old hardcore raider who just dont have the time for that anymore but still want quality raids with social and funloving people(based on the numerous encounters with IE members over the years).

When im not bunny jumping in Orgrimmar im studying lawschool in Copenhagen university(first year), playing paintball and working as a paintball instructor

My real life name is Niels and im 21 years old at the moment(due to annual change).

WoW info

My main char is the shamanBananlaksen(couldnt find Bananasalmon color) and im currently pvp resto spec http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&n=Bananlaksen

That will ofcourse change if i should get the spot and start raiding again and if you need resto or ele spec.

The gear im wearing is most likely pvp gear in the gallery, though i have some good pve epics also ofc.

Ive been in some guilds during my 4 years on dunemaul.org
Bezerkers of Flame(first raid guild in vanilla)
Rigor Mortis
In Flames/Death Kult Social Club, a community i dont hope to find in IE.

Raiding

Well i wouldn't reply if i couldn't raid on your raid days and luckily they suit me perfectly

My raiding experience is all TBC content up prior to Sunwell on my shammy, allthough i tried some Sunwell boss fights when i was visiting friend on his mage.

All the TBC content was done as first kills so i im not new to good ol' wipe nights on end and ofc learning new fights.

Done naxx 10 and some naxx 25 bosses and done malygos10 on my mage. Not the best experience from the Woltk but from the bosses ive done it feels like its easier than Kara and hardly any measurement of raid viability.

And pre-reading tactics wont be a problem since i read the tactics for fun and watch kill movies for fun.

All in all im an info whore(nerd) when it comes to WoW and will always try to sqeeze some extra numbers and get better setup even the difference is marginal.

What i expect from Iron Edge

Well the most important is the community and thats the mainreason for joining IE since youve always had the greatest community on Dunemaul. I expect a living guildchat where people joke around and talk.
The raiding is in second row and aslong as it doesnt feel like PUGin its fine.

Till now ive only had good experience with IE and i sincerly hope it can get even better. Also hope some of the members ive played with throughout the years could vouch for me if they deem me worthy for the ranks of IE

Best regards Bananlaksen

Hey!

A great application, thanks :)

I'm not sure if Grilly is after a shaman for his group, but I'm sure he'll take your application seriously.

There is less requirement on classes now, and more a matter of just finding good players!

Good luck.

I approve of this guy.

Let's teach hugman to dps before we have someone else heal though!  :P

Good application . I'm not sure B group need a second elem shammy since Sparrowhawk is elem and they already got 2 resto shamans (Grilly and Hugman) , but one well written application never hurts  ;) . Its up to Grilly to decide . Good luck .

My cousin studies law in CPH as well! 4th year though, I think.
What paintball place do you work at? Me and some colleagues are looking at going some time soon.

Well i can go enhancement, just need to work on my gear on that one though, but

Played 3 years of enhancement as top 5 dps(while twisting) in nearly all raids so wouldnt need much training to catch up.

I really dont care what spec ill raid in since they are all more or less equally fun and challenging, just want a stable community where the gchat dont go dead most of the week.

Sorry for the late reply!

As Delling and a few others mentioned above, I'm not really looking for a shaman at this point. We have 3 very stable shaman, 2 resto and 1 elemental. Squeezing a fourth into the raid would mean fewer of the other classes.. But I'll talk to people and see how they feel about an enhancement shaman.
I'm afraid this means you'll have to wait even longer, and without high hopes :/
