Haven't seen dota for long tiem!
Have played abit alone, with randoms tards lately, but its
not as fun as doing it with you people, on vent..

Well i have been asking few times in /g for DOTA when i was in the LAN but i couldnt get enought Interrest for a game :)
But anyway i am up for DOTA anytime when i am in the LAN, since i doesnt have the game at home :/

How about some DOTA after the raids on monday and tuesday? I know that the A-raiders are raidlogging HOMOs but we might be able to convinve them NOT to log off, a minute after the raid, and therefore have enought for some DOTA!

I hate to point this out, but unless you have played dota with he SCEC crew for at least a couple of months, you will do nothing but feed the other team
I am serious, it gets really hardcore, and the level is 10 times the skill in the game we played last week. You did ok that game but you: A. Took an ezymode hero(Leoric), and B. Laned with Marko (as Davion no less! Fucking Marko!). Whats gonna happen in a real game, is that someone like Marko or Supremancy will make you his bitch, farm levels ridiculously fast, and then go around sololing our team. This will make a shit game.
No the nuubs need at least to be split.

While I wasn't playing the game... he was complaining on vent that his character was shit and that was why he was failing.

My point is not that Douche is bad. He is still learning the heros, and is good, in realation to the amount of time played.
My point was that of the b-raiders, only myself, Grilly and Palmar, were any good, and only considered "good" at our best of times. While of the other b-raiders, its only Douche and the Manchs that play (and they recently started).
While on the A-raider team, you have ppl like the Serbs, Thora, Kawe, etc; who were very good or pro standard.
A-raid VS B-raid DOTA wouldn't be very fair (but then again i guess 15 VS 22 PVP battle wasn't very fair, specially when cheating is blamed on "the Serbs misunderstood"!)Lol, I'm better than grilly atleast!
I seem to remember you were ok, but had a tendancy to go "I CAN TAKE THEM ALL!" and run in and die horribly often. I also remember you were frequently banned, due to discoing often.

I withdraw this statement, im rephrasing, douche sucks balls, but when you tell him what to buy he miraculously kicks ass...i think you would be a great player if you would play the thing long enough to get the perfect touch, awareness, last hitting skillz and ganking, good luck !

Well that was because your team had four heros with stuns, leoric, naga, tiny, and nerub ass; and went around in groups of 5 going LOL-IMPALE-AVALANCHE-NAGATHING-HELLFIRE-LOL, on defenceless treekin. Then whooping on vent like that 5 on 1 stunrapage was some co-ordinated skillfest.
Leoric and Viper are eazymode heros.
Leoric is basicly a "training wheels" hero, with good survivablity, 3 passive skills and a simple, easy stun.
Viper basicly = farm in woods for a bit, get decent items, right click heros. GG.
If you want to get good, you practice the:
1. 4 ablility, low survivablity heros (mainly int, like queen of pain, or shadow shaman. These heros are only good early and mid game, and therefore you have to do well then, or you become very shit late game.
2. Heros that have what seem like "not very powerful abilities", but if played well give a massive advantage to the team (i.e. Weaver, rooty, etc). Same idea with these, since normally their damage is shit, and they are melee range; you have to do well, to get decent items to do well late game.
3. Heros that require great skill to play, or are totally shit (Pudge, Meepo, Techies), which absolutly dominate early/mid game if played well.

I'll try anything really, I just need the guidance on what items to get, I did pretty well with Krob last night (Or well I think I did, even if Cwave was just going for me!)
And I was actually going for Omni last game!

Yeah Krobs quite good. Shes an early game nuker/late game support.
As for items, well palmar and the rest of us can suggest some, but you need to read the item, and understand why its soo good for that hero.
Dota is one of those games that you have to know ALL of the heros, and all of the item combinations to play well. I generally comes with time, so just play, play, play (even pugs, though you find the games wont last long).
The best thing you can do is go to http://forums.dota-allstars.com/ (http://forums.dota-allstars.com/) and go to the hero strats, on the stratergy forums. There you will find strats for all heros, and item guides for them. The premium guides (which are sticky'ed at the top, are perticually awesome, and give excellent sound advice. Pick like 3-4 heros that you like the look of, and read up on them. Then practice, practice, practice.
P.S. if you take Clockwerk, Davion, or Lycro; you are a fag, and take it up the bum.

Look for Ks^int (Kingsurf International) reps if you wanna see some mad earlygame ganking... they play all their games fast and go for gaining the edge asap :)
On the other hand if you're into some farming (duuuh) go look for some SK replays and watch Loda farm :P There should be very little playable reps of SK tho, since they've disbanded a while ago and wc3 1.23 went out a little before that.

ks^int make watching replays interesting... They're so stupidly aggressive.
After reading through some of your replies, the main issue seems to be the inability to counter certain strategies, for example, a team built of:
tiny/slardar/leoric/na is actually a very, very bad team. If the fifth member can solo middle, they're slightly less bad, but still horrible. If you guys picked your team right (harassers/orb-walkers/nukers) they should not have any way of making money in the early game being 4x melee heroes. NA is the only one there that has a strong early laning game, and that's only thanks to mana burn.
In short, you should have destroyed at least one lane and left the stunners without any kind of farm whatsoever. Oh, and if you're up against NA, I hope you warded at least both ends of the river to prevent him from ganking your team repeatedly.

Well palm that's the way it rolls, aggresive and fast... notice that not a single game has a lategame hero...maybe a POTM, Sand King, Clockwerk or something similar that's agi/str and has awesome spells... but right clickers like troll void riki...none of those :)

We're still to see how 6.6 plays out with the buffs to agi items (manta, poor man's etc).
But yeah, in 6.59 the carries were usually int heroes like krob/necro.
