Title: X-men origins: Wolverine
Post by: Auran on May 11, 2009, 08:10:51 pm
For those that like this genre, or x-men even, this film was great. Watched it last saturday and I was seriously impressed by Liev Schreiber, playing (assumingly as he is not once mentioned like that) Sabretooth.

It's packed with action, some biology and physics inconsistencies, but the effects - and even the story are nice! Especially the start is quite nice.

Enjoy!

for me: 8/10.

Aur.

Seen it, and it's a pretty great film. Didn't like some of the special effects, and it didn't completely paralled to the first 3 films, but well enough!

8/10

Wasn't bad overall, I kinda 'switched off' towards the end when the general decided to use the 'special' bullets. I think it would've been better to give it a higher certificate and had blood and gore in it, I'm kinda sick of Hollywood making like 90% of their films aimed at a 12 year old audience. Still coulda been worse they could have called it 'Wolverine: The Musical!' :P

No shit sherlock.

"Jackman is also a singer, dancer and actor in stage musicals, and won a Tony Award for his role in The Boy from Oz." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Jackman)

Bring on 'Wolverine: The Musical!', I say.

Will not watch this. Cannot believe the shit they did with Deadpool.

They took a character who was all about the personality, and instead sealed up his mouth, gave him laser eyes, a metal claw thing and made him the most generic shitty freaking obligatary target villian...

sigh

I don't even know why they used the name Deadpool. If it was a cynical attempt to draw in fans of the Deadpool comics, then that's just a massive failure when you consider mostly any Deadpool fans will stay far far away from a film that so mercilessly butchers the character.

You know it's bad when Grish can call someone else a geek in a derogatory fashion...

I do agree, Deadpool was a stupid move.

And also, I loved Gambit in the animated series etc. And he only got a few minutes in the film, he didn't play a big part, what a waste.

I hope X-men origins: Magneto is better.

Did they actually refer to 'Deadpool' in the movie? I think they really only mentioned weapon 11.
