Looking for a new anime serie

So, I need something new to watch during this summer.

Previous series I've watched and loved: Claymore, Samurai Champloo, Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note (Fighting, magic, awesomeness etc)

Basically, I really like the kind of anime that balances drama and comedy, but I prefer the dark and sad ones, with music like this
(I haven't watched Blood+ , is it any good?

i would suggest Casshern Sins allthough it doesnt realy have any comedy moments (well except the phrase Shit was so Casshern (stupid joke i know))
i do have to say though its a niche anime, as in you either like it or you dont its defenatly not for everyone
the show moves very slowly but it has top notch animation (from the same studio that made claymore if that sort of stuff interests you) also has some nice scenery porn

if you want something that's a bit more slice of life watch this
or if you want to B'AAAWWWWWWW like a bitch watch this

as far as i remember its pretty good i havent finished it mostly due to having wiped my harddrive on my old pc about 3 years ago i think and couldnt be arsed to download it ever since
still the stuff i heard about it seems rather positive

Have you watched Code Geass yet? Has a vague whiff of death note about it in the way two of the main characters are positioned, but also has some action and drama. I think it would probably fit the bill.

If you're looking for dark and rather more action-packed, 'Hellsing Ultimate' is a good choice, though it's also not yet finished! There are meant to be 6 episodes of it, and so far 4 are available, and the 5th is coming this month or the next. Vampires, nazis, crazy stuff. But also rather fun with some great over the top moments

Code Geass is awesome, if you get through the first few episodes.

I couldn't really get into Blood+, but you might like it.

Not magic. Its a real vampire (alucard) who is up against liek over 9000 Nazi engineered zombies and vampires. I will get you a good link to one part in the show

Ah you're on about the Hellsing OVA, the original series didn't have any Nazi-vampires if I recall, though the OVA is far superior imo

I checked out the Blood Series last year, it's not bad but some scenes seem to drag from what I saw. I prefered the standalone 'anime-movie' they did a few years before, though the live action version should be out soonish.

The Ninja Scroll series is pretty good, though again I prefered the 'film length version' that was released a few years previous, the Demons of Kimone were very well designed and thought out.

Theres loads of anime out there, but you need to be a bit more specific as to what type you like...
