The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
« on: February 16, 2009, 04:07:13 pm »
Don't waste your time like I did.

This movie is about a man aging backwards. The end. There is nothing else to it. It seems to be an excuse to experiment with make up, or whatever it is they are using to make Brad Pitt look 80 in one scene and 17 in another. This would have worked pretty good in a short film, the make up is very good.  Benjamin Button, however, clocks in at almost three hours!

It's a shame, really. There's alot of talented people involved, both in front and behind the camera. Someone should have given them a proper script.

THREE HOURS?! Jesus...

Yeah, sounds like a fun concept for a short film...
Now I run a tech website.

i found the concept of this movie intriguing, but the execution made it a yawnfest

I really liked the first half of the movie, and the ending.
The whole mid-part fell through the floor. Buuuuuuuut, I'd definitely recommend seeing it. Good acting and a pretty cool story.

The old guy is a CGI head, i.e. the first 52 minutes of the movie has 0% Brad Pitt but 100% computer graphics.
