Title: Doubt
Post by: Goza on March 25, 2009, 08:56:31 pm
I assume noone has seen this, as it's so low key without promotion (at least in Germany). Catholic school, nun principal (Meryl Streep) suspects one priest (Philip Seymour Hoffman) of molesting a student.

It's actually less about catholic church/school, which mainly deals as the setting for confrontations of characters. Watch it if you like good dialogue driven movies, the actors deliver a real good show (all four, as well as the script, have been oscar nominated for this movie though none won, lolfail :P ). But of course, don't expect any action!

Rips are all over the net.

I watched it a few months ago.  Thought it was pretty good!

I watched ~2 months ago and it was well worth it. Don't expect a high paced movie, but the acting is good as is the story line.

The only thing I didn't like was the very last scene where Meryl Streep had a breakdown. That was a little over the top.
