N'aix - Mini Guide

N'aix

[Work in progress! Posting so I won't lose it]

Gonna try to make a little guide about a hero I've started to love!

So, N'aix is a amazing little bugger. With the right items you can fuck people so seriously up, and gain a lot of health while doing so.
Last night when I played him, I bought this amazing item:

Armlet of Mordiggian

Requires:
Helm of Iron Will
Gloves of Haste
Blades of Attack
Armlet of Mordiggian

Gives:
+9 damage
+15% aspd
+5 armor
+3 hp regen
Unholy Strength (active)

Unholy Strength: Increases the benefits of the item to +40 damage, +25% IAS, +5 armor, +25 strength, but causes you to lose 30 damage/sec.
You can't kill yourself with this ability unfortunately.

I had vlads as well, didn't get to build an orb effect. Maybe more lifesteal for funsies.

So, blow this item and Rage and watch the hp of the hero go down.

A general tactic, say you're up against a hero with more hp than you. If it's a noob (or vorte), he'll go "I CAN TAKE HIM, HE GOT LESS HP THAN ME!" right? wrongo!
You do more dmg and gain more hp, the more hp the hero you're up against has. So you'll fuck him up quite fast. Then he panics and starts to run --> Open Wounds. It works like the Death Knight slow, his movement speed goes from 0-100% over 8 seconds.

Now. His ultimate is awsome.
If you fight a hero next to some creeps, at full rank you can pop in and out of the creep and absorb the maximum health of it. Kinda like Clinkz, just.. better. hehe
This hero is a OK pusher, but he is still kinda squishy if he doesn't get to feast on a hero with a lot of health.

Abilities:

Rage
N'aix goes into a maddened rage, becoming immune to magic spells and gaining increased attack speed. (I believe this is "near magic immunity", but I think it renders Luna's ultimate harmless (not sure)

Level 1 - 30% Increased Attack Speed and Magic Immunity. Lasts for 2.5 seconds.
Level 2 - 45% Increased Attack Speed and Magic Immunity. Lasts for 3.25 seconds.
Level 3 - 60% Increased Attack Speed and Magic Immunity. Lasts for 4 seconds.
Level 4 - 80% Increased Attack Speed and Magic Immunity. Lasts for 4.75 seconds.

Cooldown: 15 seconds.
Manacost: 75

Level 1: 75 mana, 15 sec cooldown.
Level 2: 75 mana, 15 sec cooldown.
Level 3: 75 mana, 15 sec cooldown.
Level 4: 75 mana, 15 sec cooldown.

Feast
Regenerates a portion of enemy's current HP and deals the same portion per attack.
Remember that this is his CURRENT hp, the more you bring him down, the less you regenerate and damage the hero

Level 1 - 4%.
Level 2 - 5%.
Level 3 - 6%.
Level 4 - 7%.

Open Wounds
Naix rends the enemy, slowing his movement speed and allowing his allies to feast on his life force, regenerating a portion of the damage dealt. Victim slowly recovers movement speed over 8 seconds.
As said, Death Knight slow, and more imba health regen. This slow got a large cast range, 500-600 I think.

Level 1 - 10%.
Level 2 - 15%.
Level 3 - 20%.
Level 4 - 25%.

Level 1: 70 mana, 30 sec cooldown.
Level 2: 80 mana, 25 sec cooldown.
Level 3: 90 mana, 20 sec cooldown.
Level 4: 100 mana, 15 sec cooldown.

Infest
The Lifestealer tears its way into the unfortunate body of a target unit, laying dormant and undetectable inside its living frame until he is ready to consume it and come to form. Regains health from the infested unit.
Hotkey: T, click a creep and then T again to pop out. Great escape/shocking health regen to fuck someone up

Level 1 - Allied and Neutral units. Consumes current health.
Level 2 - Allied, Enemy and Neutral units. Consumes current health.
Level 3 - Allied, Enemy and Neutral units. Consumes max health.

Cooldown: 100/60/30
Manacost: 50

Level 1: 50 mana, 100 sec cooldown.
Level 2: 50 mana, 60 sec cooldown.
Level 3: 50 mana, 30 sec cooldown.

Of course we know! where do you think the format is taken from....

This is to make them more accessible to our guildies, and to make them specialized for the needs of our dota games. We play very differently from what the league players do....
Trolls are awesome!

You can also use these treads to share experience, since I'm lazy and cba to write a fulfilling guide.

With Naix lifesteal also no longer an orb, you can actually have three (three!) lifesteals on him if you take vlad's and satanic - both of which are good items on him. Satanic is 25%, vlad's is 16%, and his own is special%. combined with open wounds, and some bracers and treads, he becomes very very tough so long as he has something to chow down on.
