Played the FIRST one, loooong ago.

Thought it was OK. Don't think my computer could run it smoothly.

i played the first one

everyone was hyping cossacks up to the max... i on the other hand didnt realy see what the fuss was about

never played the second one though i heard it was a huge failure or something

Well. The first version of Cossacks. Cossacks European Wars was a big success and then came Art of War which was not a so big success but then came Cossacks Back to War which is the version everyone plays now.

Cossacks Back To War has around 250 people online at all times playing. So there is a community out there for it and online games.

If anyone still plays it, I would like to duel you! /slaps with a white glove.

You should all know that Rome: and Empire: Total War are the best games of this variety...!

I dont think the Total War series fit in this Cossacks category, they are 2 completely different games but yet again superb they are in every way.

I was a huge fan of the classic Medieval Total War.

Well, I was thinking of the huge, pitched battles in Rome/Empire -- thought they were quite similar!
