You can't really call it post production since there was no production at all. It's fully digital-3d animated since that's much easier then adding things in post production. The fact that you see such animation being steady doesn't make it harder to produce then regular movie special effects. Setting virtual camera path in the end is one of the easiest things.

I don't think it's complete CGI with the lighting guy talking about "adding this explosion in post production so we can't see it yet" and the stuff the CGI talks about. Unless that's all mumbo-jumbo.

False.
Most of this is done post production. I suggest you look up "3d bullet tutorials" and such.
Heavy post production. See Watchmen Trailer for even cooler stuff using this.

for some random tard applying one of skills used :)

Well I thought it would be similar to how Heroes do it -- lots of people standing still, and lots of green-screening supports for the people in odd positions.

Then CGI in things like the broken glass, flames, etc.
Now I run a tech website.

They put them on green props, Smor. Like a green chair, or green harness, and then edit it out afterwards (at least if it's like Heroes)

Smor, did you even watch the 3rd video comment? You can see how they talk about removing the wires the guy in the background is hanging in. Also, it was filmed with 50 FPS and played back with 25 FPS, thus 'halving' the time for the actors.

In addition, I assume they use correction software to remove every last motion of the people. They have awesome algorithms for that by now.

Slightly related, look at the new stuff Google Streetview does (check London for example). They use an algorythm to simulate 360 degree view by interpolating lots of snapshots, and regarding the mass of pics, I assume that's all done automatically.

I know enough about chroma key Dell, I used to work with it in TV studio. All I am saying is that its much easier to do this without a real scene...

Very cool video. Not sure about that ambient lighting thing - might take some time to adjust to, and if it badly detects something and gives the wrong output it could occaisionally take a dump on your immersion. Could also be very cool, though; I can't help but think it'd be nice on some bright daylight underwater scene.

If you've been watching Dollhouse (or you liked Firefly/Buffy), then the recent post on my blog by an incredibly geeky (and attractive) girl might interest you:
