Looks pretty cool.  Seems a lot like t2 classic.

You know Halo was basically inspired by Tribes, right?  The company making this owns the Tribes IP.  If anything, they could sue Bungie.

Didn't mean it like halo was good (mediocre) but even if the origional of this was out first.. watched some gameplay (i genuinly didn't know this was around so early) and they've definitly stolen some bits from eachother.

Was for me. Soooo many hours spent online, more then WoW.

Reason Halo became so popular was because it's formula just WORKED for consoles...but kesh is right.

No, no, no.  They didn't steal bits from each other.  Halo was originally an RTS game that was utterly changed after Tribes was released.  Tribes stole nothing.

Maybe i need to actually play tribes 1 to understand :)
I saw some screenshots of the new tribes game and the armor etc looks -very- much like the stuff on halo 3! Was the ammo count built into the gun model around on tribes 1 kesh? Looks like a fun series though - Guess never actually seeing it before this year does show my age yeah.

Don't think so, but Tribes: Vengeance (the third installment of tribes) did, and that was released 3 years before Halo 3.

The 1st halo had that (not that i was arguing for it, just curious). Will defonatly pick this up though after having looked more into it - will be nice to have a faster paced FPS thats fairly modern.

Some CTF action from Starsiege: Tribes (released 1998.)

A little more slow paced :P
