WotL raid buff changes
« on: August 29, 2008, 10:40:40 am »
This has already been announced by Blues in the past, but now there is some more detailed information about how class (de)buffs will work in raids.

http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=14214.0

Bloodlust raidwise but only cast-/receiveable every 5 minutes. Shadow priest mana battery raidwide and automatically goes to 10 raid members with the lowest mana, and hunters and paladins get similar abilities. Etc.

Ya... some very interesting changes indeed.

Especially the new Replenishment shit...

But hey, means we won't have to have gimp shadow DPS in our raids any more!!
Now I run a tech website.

Mages and Druids will be useless.

Basically, there is no reason at all to bring a resto druid, since tree of life is useless anyway. Their healing is shit and surpassed by any other class, even enhancement shamans. Paladin will bring the healing aura, so if you are a resto druid you might as well stop playing the game.

Same goes for mages. Prepare to buy your own food/water before you enter the instance, because locks with the new fel intelligence will make mages completely obsolete. Since warlocks do twice the damage and are lightyears ahead when it comes to survivability.

I'd probably just kill myself if I was a mage or a druid.

Cyclone, indoor Roots, buffs.

Sheep, water.

Says enough palmar! :) And frost mages will win tbh. Or get an arcane mage to arcane power a warlock for EXTRA LIGHTYEAR DPS!

I don't agree.

Cyclone remains useless in any form of pve, it's about as good as offtanking stuff. Roots are horrible and break on their own damage. How often do we have mages frost nova to cc in current raids? Not often.

The tiny amount of stats added by MotW will not grant druids raid spots. At best they can sit outside and buff the raid.

Sheeps are useless now, retribution paladins can perma-repentance mobs. and it's instant cast. and they actually do bring some good utility, unlike the shitty mages.

And as I said, people are gonna have to buy their own water. Unless we bring a mage to sit outside and make the water...

Fine by me. You do have to keep them on a leash though! We don't want any mages running around freely.

And I don't think mages will be that useless. As we haven't seen wotlk yet, perhaps mages will surpass Warlocks in damage?

Nope, warlocks will do about 40% more damage than mages.

Hmm, isn't arcane power self-cast only? Silly selfish mages.

Also, demote Inphy for spreading false info.

No real warlock would allow his pet to partially share his name.

Change it to something appropriate like "Spayed".

Why? Warlocks and rogues are useful, not like your shitty class.

Reroll to your lock, and you will get spots in 5 mans etc.

Stick with your druid if you wanna play solo. Not that they're good soloers, it's just guaranteed that noone will ever invite a druid to anything.
