Yeah was on UK t.v. on Sunday, and 2 part yesterday

Watched half, pretty awesome, they always get the casting spot on. Best one so far imo. Terry Prachett supervises the whole thing, so its done well.

They have also done Hogfather, and Colour of magic.

Hogfather was good, "mr tea time" was spot on. Colour of magic wasn't so good, mainly cos they cast David Jason (who is an awesome actor, but far to old to play Rincewind).

If you haven't read the books, read them first, then watch these, not the other way round.

I'm glad this one's good! I have to wait until my watching buddy turns up... should watch it within the next week or two tho'.

As I said on TS, I think David Jason is the producer -- there was something about why he played Rincewind... I forget exactly -- but yeah, he's too old.

Almost at the end now.  It's pretty good.  Just something that irks me.  His golden suit, at least to me, seems far too tarnished.  It's meant to shine, not look like it needs a good clean :P

As long as you follow this chart:

You should be fine.

Nice Kesh.

They are all pretty awesome, but I like the Watch storyline's the best (though Death is a close second). I think I have read all those books several times, excepting the green ones. Making Money doesn't seem to be on there, though its kinda the sequel to Going Postal; and then brand new one Unseen Academicals, which should probably be under the "Industrial Revolution" line.

Where's My Cow? he actually made that into a infant's bedtime book, win!

Heh yeah.  I was very happy to hear that Where's My Cow? was an actual book :)

I read them in 'series' order, starting with the death novels, then watcg, revolution, ancient civs, witch and then rincewind.  Ended up reading the young adult novels last.  Have to say I probably enjoyed the watch and death novels the most, same as you.

I've not read making money yet!

I kind of read them as they became available -- my library at college didn't have them all, so I didn't have too much choice in the matter!

I eventually bought all the ones I hadn't read.

I'd suggest you do it chronologically: http://www.lspace.org/books/reading-order-guides/dw-publication-order-list-v1-0.txt -- but you could quite easily follow the pretty diagram too.

I have to admit, I gave up before the end of Hat Full of Sky (I think... or maybe it was one of the other Tiffany books) -- and I struggled through Witches Abroad. Think I finally finished it...

Steven Erikson! great series although I must admit I'm glad it's coming to an end. It was getting confusing who was linked to who.

OMG, have you ever read those books, Kesh? Or do you wear latex gloves while reading, and never break the spine? :P

I quite liked the first Tiffany book I think... or the one where they have a Big Job underground... as queen... or something...

We should unleash the CSI team on this picture to see if we can find Kesh's face in a reflection.

I've read all the Discworld books in the pic already, but electronically.  I doubt I'm going to be re-reading those books in paper format, at least no plans to atm!

Steven Erikson! great series although I must admit I'm glad it's coming to an end. It was getting confusing who was linked to who.

Sadly, of the Erikson section on the left of that pic, I've only read the first book, Gardens of the Moon.  I'll read the other 9 soon, after the last Discworld book I need to read, Making Money.

When I said that I had expanded my library today, I meant it.  All the books are new; arrived in a box this afternoon!

Edit: God damn sense, I make none.

I have the Aldous Huxley book arriving later today I think... though we should start a new thread for that. 'The Computer Chair Book Appreciation Club'...

Re-read the book, then watch.
