Title: Skype
Post by: Caaster on July 14, 2015, 03:38:18 pm
Hi - I'm bringing the entire might of the Iron Edge to try and sort my skype issue.

Problem: http://puu.sh/iYR2H/37e897e9c1.png - Ring keeps spinning for all eternity, and no way on earth is it ever going to log me on.

Already attempted solutions: Revo uninstaller, using old version of skype, reinstalling, logging on skype on the web to try and sort of kickstart the program that way, gone through all files to make sure nothing blocks the connection, starting it in offline mode, deleting files @%appdata% and tried to rename them as well.

Only thing I haven't tried is to start the computer in safe mode, i'm still trying to figure out why the hell that doesn't work.

Only type of "error" I have ever recieved is this: http://puu.sh/iYRbF/c17da3f1b9.jpg
- When I ran the program compatibility tool on the skype program.

I'll pay whoever helps me sort this issue in blood.

What version of windows do you have?

Is time and date correctly set in windows? If time and date is wrong it can cause problems.

Did you download the newest version?

I have w7, managed to start the pc in safe mode with networking and tried to launch skype but nothing seems to have changed. Time and date is correct and I'm currently running on the newest version of skype.

Fuck it. Initiating windows repairing tool to restore it to a previous date. If this doesn't work then I don't know what will.

I wouldnt bother with that, its probably a software conflict with something else running in the background.
