All these news things to the forum is nice and all. However, it's becoming less mobile friendly, especially with the widgets to the right side. Well, you have to fiddle with zooming etc.
Would it make more sense to hide them when reading posts? Is there an option in the cms to have different views (more simple) when browsing from a mobile device?
Just throwing it out there. I'm sure more and more ppl are visiting daily from their mobile devices.

Yeah, I have thought about this.
You should be able to hide the side column? With the minus (-) button in the top right corner?
I can look at installing some kind of 'mobile theme' -- but I don't know if SMF supports it. Probably does.

try with ?wap ?wap2 and ?imode at the end of the path

problem is that hiding the side column seems to be non-persistant. it'll be there when I come back.

Get a HTC with HTC Sense.
Problem solved.

The site works perfect on HTC Desire, without any zoom the site loads perfect and if i zoom in there is no issues either.
You got a shitty Windows Phone 7 kagir with no zoom-to-fit or other way around :P

Works fine on iPhone 4 as well, who'd guess that?

No one

Ah yes! I remember, we've discussed this before, right, Grax? Or, at least, we've done the ?wap thing before...
-
yes we discussed it a while ago, the wap thing works for old mobile browsers and removes most of the graphics, if you have a modern smartphone I wouldnt bother with it.
I dont know how it works with the new boxes though.

Palmar -- not sure about the column-hiding persistence thing. I think I saw an option for it once, but dunno.
-
It's persistent for me!

My Desire was stolen so im using an iPhone i "borrowed" from work atm.
The +- does work indeed, the site is just a bit heavy to load on shitty connections i guess.

Site works perfectly with a BB Torch, all the shiny colours and pictures as well!

Works fine on HTC Desire HD (as Cwave mentioned). Also I'd recommend trying to use the Opera Mini browser (if you can use it on your phone) and see if it works there.
Also: The site has that mobile recommendation icon if you Google search it, nice!
