Sherrice lvl 70 Paladin
« on: December 20, 2007, 02:53:29 am »

Hello there Iron Edge,

My name is Sanjee, (but Sandjay is easier to pronounce), I'm from the Netherlands and I'm currently 29 years old.
I work 5 days per week.If I'm unlucky I may have to work an extra day per week, but that only occurs once per month.
I've been playing this game for nearly 3 years now. I started out with real-life friends; some of which still play -
Solarstone, Worghard and Dannz my buddys.

1. Character name/level/class/race?
My Character's name is Sherrice,level 70,Bloodelf Paladin.

2. Build and reason for taking it?
I am currently Holy specc'ed (48-13-0).
The main reason for choosing this build being: I think that it accomodates for both PvP, and more importantly PvE situations.

3. Gear/Armory link.
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&n=Sherrice
As well as the gear displayed on the armory, I also own a fairly competative PvP Arena S2 set which is fully enchanted and socketed.

4. Can you take criticism?
Of course I can take criticism. It improves me and it will help me to learn more.
Not only that, but it could provide me with an insight for how to improve in areas which I may have overlooked, or may need changing to meet certain boss encounter requirements etc.

5. Old guild/server and reason for leaving it?
My previous guild was In Flames.
I had been raiding with the current GM for almost all of my raiding life, and I logged on today to find that I had been removed.
Recently, I took a break from raiding which I have been attending non-stop for 2+ years. I was also an officer which I don't believe really melded with my style.
The break from raiding wasn't a break from WoW itself, I just needed some time off from raiding, which I filled in with a twink Paladin.
The situation within the guild became rather hectic with people leaving, recruiting new people, and having to explain the strategies over and over, when we know we can down the boss already etc.
After a while it got to my head and I needed a break.
so for the past couple of days I have been playing my twink Alt.
And today, I log on to find a guildless Sherrice.
I'm rather disappointed to be perfectly honest, as I've always been loyal and stuck by the side of the GM for every raid, even when the going got tough.
It saddens me, as we've been through a great deal together. Back in the day when Fearsome War Engine begun raiding(Pre TBC) and even when the guild split to form In Flames I still remained by his side.
But alas, time goes on, and I feel I must move on too.

6. Do you have prior experience in PvE
MC / BWL / AQ20 / ZG All Cleared. AQ40 all cleared up to Twin Emps.
Cleared SSC and TK, last boss on Hyjal Archimonde had yet to fall. And 1 boss in Black Temple being High Warlor Naj' entus.

7. Raiding time and time played with /played command?
I can raid every day.
My days played with my paladin is 88 days.
Prior to my Paladin, was my BWL geared Warlock (Scryed) which I have ceased playing since TBC was relased.

8. Is this your first character or an alt? Also, are you the original owner?
This is my main character and I am the original owner of the account.
This is not my first character however, when I started raiding I was playing a priest which I raided MC with.
I then rerolled Warlock who ended up in 7/8 Nemesis until AQ40 which is when TBC was on the horizon and our current guild, (Fearsome War Engine) stopped raiding.
When TBC was launced I rerolled yet again to a Paladin, the best choice I think I've ever made.
The class, the Characater, I really do love. I cherrish it so much that I even made a twink Paladin.

10. Why should we choose you over someone else?
I feel I know my class, I love her, I have excallent raid attendance and preperation.
Every raid I'm stacked with pots/flasks/reagents. And the most important thing, I'm always on time.
I'm a friendly and easy-going guy who is able to listen and speak on ventrilo. I feel that I know my class, and am able to play it to it's full potential.
My character as it stands is decently geared (Full T5) and is attuned to all which can currently be attuned.

11. What rare items can you craft and what professions do you have?
My professions are Enchanting and Mining. The latest Enchant i have is Spellsurge, I'm more healing based with enchants.

12. Are you willing to bring potions to every raid? and have two flasks, or lots of elixirs ready for any new encounters? Also are you able to pay for all those and repairs also?
Yes I have no problem with it. I'm used to it since it's all I've been doing for the past 2+ years of my Warcraft career.

Thankyou for taking the time to read my application.
Sherrice.

Hm... Somehow Rav ended up with the same one...

(I went there to see if you'd applied there, of course! But hey, you hadn't, so that's good...)

Anyway, good application. I think we're full on raiding paladins at the moment though, which would be an issue if you're a 100%-attending hardcore raider.

But obviously moving into WOTLK, we are looking to pick up nice people and good players.

Depends how horny you are to raid right now, I guess :)

To be fair at the moment i cant raid till new year im working from 13:30 - 21:00 the last weeks of this month.
In the past i was raiding 3 weeks nonstop and 1 week off because of nightshifts
that will be over soon.
And more playtime will be available in 2008.

Well it's not about when you are available, it's about when there will be space in an IE raid for you :)

People always shift around, and I foresee a few respecs incoming, so you will probably pick up a few raids here and there, but you won't be in anywhere near 100% of raids for a long time, or ever.

And then WOTLK changes everything :)

Hey sherrice. Fine application I must say.

You're saying that it got to your head that ppl were leaving and you had to recruit new ppl, so why'd you leave yourself?.

And about the raiding situation. I just got back from raiding break and i will most likely be 100% raider in 2008, for sunwell atleast. So I wouldnt be able to promise spots in every raid. But as IE's paladin situation has been really horrible for the past 6 months up untill figl joined, then I'll take you into consideration anyway. I'll have a talk with you in-game and this will probably be discussed further amongst the leadership in IE.

Untill the final decision has been made, HF.

PS: feel free to contact me ingame if you like, I dont bite. ;)

Nice guy, good healer, speaks on vent, and the list goes on. you should atleast give him a trial, if I recall correctly there has been quite a few raids lately that has stopped us from doing specific things, like when we dont have 8 healers for Illidan, like when Inonub is playing volleyball or whatever he does.
