Guitar/Amp/Instrument-thread!
« on: June 20, 2011, 12:05:50 am »
So, since we got kicked out of the other thread discussing what amp Palmar uses, I thought I'd try to give this thread a go. A place to discuss whatever instrument-related, guitars, amps, keyboards, whatever floats your boat. Recording, everything!

To kick this shit of I thought I'd bring up some pictchaz of my rig so far!

First pic is my guitar, a ESP LTD Ec-1000 with EMG 60/81 pups. :)

The second picture is of my amp, which is a dutch brand iirc, a Koch Twintone II, love it to death, though I do use a Tubescreamer TS9 in front of it to get some more distortion!

Third picture is from the recordingsession me and some of my bandmates had home here some days ago! Using a Marshall JVM 410h!

So, I hope Im not a giant loner here, being a musician.

Post shit! Your rig, instruments, whatever! Dont make me look like a complete retard.

Using two guitars at the moment. (don't have my camera to take a pic, been stolen on holiday by my dad)

An ibanez RG-7 string. Really nice beast, heavy.
and a jackson dinky that i've had forever.

Using the blackstar ht-5 at the moment just for recording/messing about - got rid of my last amp which was the marshall 150, trying to get my hands on a 5505 or 6505 for live.

And an Ibanez bass and a fender 6-string somewhere.

I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio in its hardcase under the bed and I hardly ever play it anymore :(
I have a peavey valveking 50 watt tube-amp collecting dust in the attic.

When I play my gibson atm I use a Behringer V-AMP 2, it's "ok".

I mostly just play my Epiphone western guitar.

I also have a cheap Stratcopy bass but one of my friends have been borrowing it for a few years now :P

I need to buy a bigger place at some point so my wife will let me keep all my gear in the apartment( I have too much gear) :P

Should link my desktop as linked in the thread in august 2007 :P

Its quite sad indeed, all these things you would do if the week had 8 days with 48 hours each :)

Summer holidays in a week it will get to damage my hearing for a few months. Its fun how such a guitar only sounds really good when you can feel it damaging your hearing :P

I used to play the bass for some 12 years.. I'll try to find some recordings from a band I used to play live with!

I played a cream-white Fender Jazz bass on a really nice Trace Elliot. Got a Swedish Levin half-acoustic guitar that I pick up from time to time.

hmm,

for the vintage organ sound I use most of the time I used to use a yamaha b35n

and the synth sounds are mostly a microkorg synth

But these later years I've gotten lazy and now I just use a nord stage 88 for everything, since it's easier to haul around and it gives good enough sounds for bars/clubs we play at.

I usually just play through the monitors, but during practice sessions and for smaller type of bars I play through a behringer bass amp

oh, and I used to be in a metal band, so I have a guitar too, it looks like this.

I think I have action shots of most of these things btw, I'll add them in a second post.
