Due to lack of sign-ups we're cancelling this until further notice.

Yes!
It's that time of the year again. The time where we we organize a massive in-guild event and trash each other every week in the biggest, meanest, best looking competition of video gaming ever held. No exaggerations. This will be good, this will be epic. There will be storylines, grudges, trash talking and fierce competition, but only one team can come out ahead on top and win the bragging rights for the IEDL champions. At least for this first season!
Seriously, this is the real deal. For those not familiar with our in-house events, you should take a look at the SCEL that ran for 6 weeks following the launch of starcraft 2. Clicky! (http://www.iron-edge.co.uk/index.php?topic=5262.0)
We're going to have streams, we're going to have spectators, even commentators if people want to try their hand at that. From now on, Sunday nights are dota nights.
Further Information
The IEDL will run on Sundays at 21:00 CET and 22:00 CET. There will be four teams unless I'm vastly underestimating the interest in this tournament. For four teams we need probably 24 players at least (that's 5 per team + 1 backup).
The league will run for 6 weeks, each team will face one another twice. At the end of the season the winners will be those on top of the league. If multiple teams are equal in points we will have a look at internal matches between them, and if those aren't enough, play the tiebreaker.
This means that if you sign up, you are commiting the next 6 Sundays (1st april, 8th april, 15th april, 22th april, 29th april and 6th may) to play dota between 21:00 CET and 23:00 CET. Each night will have two matches, one of them starting 21:00 and the second one 22:00.
More than 6 players on a team is perfectly fine.
At the start of a season 4 players who are their team managers will be participating in a draft for the remaining players in the league. Everything will be done to ensure the teams end up fairly even, but due to the nature of dota we don't need a player value system like we used in SCEL
How can you help?
First of all, sign up. Put these 12 hours over 6 weeks aside for your friends in the IE community. Additionally we need artist-y people to do banners and team logos. If you think you have what it takes to be a team manager (you control the draft) then sign up and mention you'd be cool with leading one of the teams. Don't be afraid of signing up as manager even if 4 people already have expressed interest. I am more than willing to pass my manager spot, and I'd love to get people who really want to be involved into those spots.
If you can stream, stream the event. If you think you can commentate the games you aren't playing in, do it. We could play both games each Sunday night simultaneously, but we choose not to for extra spectating fun!
Harass people, get everyone in IE to sign up. It's time we play dota!
