Hello, Iron Edge!
I am applying to be a TOT Raider.
Character: Therenox
Server: Ravencrest
Armory: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/Ravencrest/Therenox
Class/Spec: Shaman (DPS/Healer)
Member Type: TOT Raider
Personal Info:
Aleksandar from Belgrade, Serbia. Born in the now ancient '89 (no idea how old I am) but still kicking. I work in IT (NCR Voyix), but have graduated in Anthropology. Studied psychology for 2 years as well.
Class/Spec:
I would've chosen Evoker as a class, Devastation as spec, but the disgusting lizard is missing from your drop-down menus. Rightly so, I might add. To be honest, I was talking to Jovan (Cjay) and he told me that Evo is the one class you are missing, but that you in general needed more ranged DPS. So I leveled it up and have been playing it these past few weeks in Midnight. Seems not not fun. Especially "Deep Breath". It is something new and exciting for an old WoW player. To an extent. Anyways, I was looking at an MM Hunter as well but couldn't make myself play through aimed shot, arcane shot, aimed shot, arcane shot, rapid fire, arcane shot... Instead I went full conspiracy theory and made a lizard.
Alts:
To be honest, Therenox is my alt. One of them. I have a plethora of characters on Ravencrest (Alliance) and Kazzak (Horde). My main is a resto shaman (Elpro-Ravencrest), and I dabbled in paladins (Crimsoness-Kazzak) & priests (Logane-Kazzak) most in recent expansions, so I would say I play them fairly well. As far as RBG/Arena, I am in an on-off relationship with PVP. Very hot and desireable one exp, then I cool her off for the next (she cools me off, yes, PVP is a she, think about it), etc.
Professions:
All. On Therenox I went for mining/herb, switched mining for enchanting a few days ago to recuperate my gold that decor ate with Dawn Crystals. I am trying to rack all professions up simultaneously across characters for crafting/money-making reasons.
Mythic+ Experience:
My first character was, ironically, on Dunemaul in Vanilla, but that account was lost ages ago. I've started raiding and playing more seriously in WotLK, when Ulduar was nearing it's end. I was playing a Retribution Paladin back then on Mazzrigos, then on Vashj for a short time when the previous server was shutting down (or it was converting to PVE only, something like that). No "Ussa Taunta" stories, but I vaguely remember LOHing our Warrior Tank and saving an Algalon kill, as well as spawning too many adds on Yogg due to my PC being trash and particle dnesity setting set to low, so I couldn't see the gas cluds. Fun times. However, I was raiding more seriously in Cata with Nucleo on Ravencrest, healing with my Resto Shaman, and after a hundred aneurisms we received on the back of Deathwing, we have managed to fell the big dragon as well on 10 man HC. We raided some in Pandaria, but half the guild wanted to go Hardcore, half didn't, the HC group went to Horde and were like... 37th or something in the world in Throne of Thunder, if memory serves me well, but I wasn't a part of that endeavor as I did not have enough time to commit to that. I finished Pandaria with some friends on Sylvanas, casually raiding, and afterwards I was on-off with WoW, until Legion when I came back. Since then I was pugging raids mostly, when raiding.
Previous Guilds:
Ugh, should've read all the questions first lol. I've mentioned above. After Nucleo I was mostly guildless.
Availability:
I will go on a limb and say yes. I try to play as much as I can, but there are periods when I have to work more, or better, cannot skip work to play. For instance, I have played SL, DF, TWW almost regularly, pugging HC raids in most seasons, doing 2.5-3K M+ in most seasons, playing PVP in some. I would say that I certainly play more than I don't.
Communication:
Yeah. Can't find my mic for my main headphones, lost it somewhere in the boxes during the move, but I will find it/buy new headphones cause it's time anyways. Nevertheless, I have other headphones with mic I can use, I am operational.
System / Connection:
I would say I have a good PC. CPU is due for an upgrade, but my FPS is stable on ultra. I run a RX 9070 XT and did not seem to have issues as of yet (my 7900 GRE gave me so much grief with WoW specifically that I wanted to dig my eye out with a spoon). My net connection is fine, like everyone's I guess, no Fort Knox, no slum type of scenario, somewhere in the middle.
Addons/UI:
Experimenting since the start of Midnight. Trying a cleaner approach cause I always wanted it. I have not raided yet with this approach so I cannot say whether it will work or not. Previously when raiding, I was using DBM, Weakauras (certain alerts and spell/buff/cd visibility), Details, Threatplates (liked them more than Plater), OmniCD (for party/raid CDs), OmniCC (forever)... I am probably forgetting something, but this would be core I guess.
Other Games:
Uh... Single player RPGs and story driven games mostly. I could list them here, but not sure I want to bore you with that. Already written an essay here lol. I was playing League like a maniac but it wasn't good for my mental health so I dropped it in the end. When I was younger, I played CS 1.6 and WC3 in tournaments, but now I am old and decrepit and my micro is so shit that I am embarrassed.
Why Iron Edge?
Cause it's sharp and unbreakable.
What I can offer Iron Edge:
I can offer irritating Jovan every 2 seconds. I think that's worth more than everything else I could offer put together. Other than that, an Evoker buff?
Where I heard about Iron Edge:
I have the unfortunate destiny of knowing Jovan (Cjay, Brojay, whatever his names in the game are) from work, gym, and Azeroth. He told me you guys were raiding HC and I was like, would be fun, are you recruiting, so here we are.
Last Words:
Foucault was right...
