Right. So Sylar apparently survives getting stabbed by Hiro (it would seem?), who teleports back to the 17th century Japan. I sort of find it a bit strange that Sylar isn't dying, but hey, I haven't been stabbed with a sword ever, so I can't really say I know how bad it is from experience...
Mr. (Noham I think he says?) Bennet is back with his daugther, happy family there, Micas dad survives being shot at close range, and my guess would be that Parkman survives getting shot four (!!!) times aswell. So, I guess Nathan and Peter must survive the LOLNUKE in the sky? At least we know that Peter should, since he has Claires regeneration.
So, now comes the big question: What do you guys think of the season ending, and what do you think will happen in season two? :P
Personally I think it will revovle a LOT around trying to catch Sylar once again, who might find some allies in his "battle" (since that's what villians always do). I think Hiro will be quite interesting to follow throughout his journeys in time, but it will probably be just as interesting to see what will remain of the "old" heroes group that included Lindermann, the Petrelli grand mother and Charles.
-
Short replies:
1) Its Noah/Noah. As in Ark of Noah?
2)I think the picture of the guy in flames, peter petrelli, came true. He just went Fantastic Four kinda flame guy up in the sky. Sure as hell didnt die. Just some superhuman fire guy imo. Brother dunno. Maybe they merged.
In any case, he will be back as the flame guy of the picture's ( Peter)
3)There will be a spinoff in the summer. 6 episodes with each week a new hero. At the end the americans can vote which hero makes it into season 2.
So yeah, epic battles with the league of extraordinairy mean meets x-mean meets fantastic four meets highlander meets The Matrix meets The Island meets..... just about every movie/serie out there
4)
<3 this show :P
-
I think the actual death of sylar was a bit shit tbh. He just appears, charges and stabs him. Sylar would have just done something like he did before, and thrown him into a nearby building, but on this occasion, he just gets stabbed. They didn't really think that one through, did they?
As for the brother. He could have just flown him up really high and then dropped him, flying off to safety somewhere else.
-

Well, I dont think Peter died either. 1) Would be bit stupid if one of the "best" heroes died 2) Ted didn't die when he "radiated" himself in Bennet's house in one episode, dont remember which, so why would peter die?!?
-
What do you guys think of the season ending, and what do you think will happen in season two? :P
I think there definitely was no script to begin with and the authors developed the story while the season was being shot. How can you explain such a lackluster and shitty season ending otherwise. It's a "WOW - this show is successful! Let's milk it as long as we can"-reset: Every main person is alive just like at the start of the show (probably even the flying stunt brothers) so we can go on and on and on and on.
This also shows in the apparent coming spinoff where the actor most popular will be integrated into season 2. Give the audience what they want. Snore. I'd prefer a story over being played to.
-
I like the ending, its Awoesome.
1) I think Sylar didnt die because he is the same as Peter (as he said in some episode) And he prolly have the healing ability, so the stab wasnt enough to kill him or he died then regenerated back and was able to walk to the sewer. not sure tho.
2) Peter will survive the exploding, but i doubt his brother will, or they could come up with the idea that he droped his brother and flew away of the bomb and make him a true hero in the next season.
3) I think Mr.Parkman is going to die.
4) Cant wait for season 2 <3
-
Im quite sure the next season will show that either:
A) Nathan had time to fly away from peter before the explosion.
B) Peters skill is based on empathy. In the beginning of the series they really focus on the fact that is able to care fully and unconditionally for other people, so I suspect that not only can he take others skills, but he can quite probably share them too, which means that nathan can heal too when they are close.
-
One of those things I did not understand:
Claire is about to shoot Peter in order to keep him from exploding.
Then Nathan appears and tells him there's an alternative, and that alternative is they both fly away and explode?
So.... the alternative to one dead person (Peter shot) is two dead persons (Peter & Nathan exploding)? Er... good choice!
-
Not sure how season 2 will go. ill ponder that and update this!
Unknown regarding sylar but i'd guess hes alive. Although he can't regen of course. He needs to examine things as his gift is understanding how things work. biologically or mech. hence he removes brains. Peter is just a sponge and therefore more powerful (technically speaking).
Brother gave his life for his brother (possibly). Which was an act of self-sacrifice for a brother he loved.
What role Sylar will play later im not sure (if hes alive) he was quite clear that he had no intention to murder innocents as felt taking others abilities was deserved!
-
The end was pretty exciting, but as Goza said... was a bit flawed.
PETER CAN FLY ON HIS OWN.
Don't forget this guys. He already has the ability to fly. His brother just suicided. Was a bit of pointless melodrama there!
Pretty sure Parkman will die. And maybe Sylar too. He was still bleeding when he went into the sewer.
Did you all miss the reference to ANOTHER BAD GUY? More bad than Sylar? The kid mentions him about half way through.
re: the 'origins' spin-off during the summer, as far as I know it's for season 3, not season 2. Season 2 is already planned/written/whatever. But could be wrong on his one.
Very cool that we only find out his name is Noah in the last episode. No doubt a biblical reference there too, as he's trying to chase up all the different heroes...
And no clue where Hiro will go from that one... That was Kensei by the way, at the end. Maybe we'll get to see the T-Rexes too...
-
Agree with Delling. he should have flown himself.
The shooting plan itself is quite stupid, in the episodes leading to the explosion people agree that peter will survive because of his regeneration, which means a bullet wont stop him either.....
So flying away is the only viable option, if the explosion cant be stopped.
The little girls talks about that uber-boogyman that can see her, he is probably the one to be cast in those 6 episodes.
I do still think that sylar will survive if not, that last scene with the sewer would be totally useless
-
Sylar will survive, I bet 200g on it. He's just "too cool" to die already. And the show doesn't have another villain yet. He'd prob die sometime along season2, maybe the "other bad new guy" will eat his brains this time, that would be a nice twist. That bad guy will then replace Sylar.
And pleeeease yes let Parkman die, though I doubt it will happen. He is just too stupid! His line in that episode: "There's a bad guy, and I'm a cop! I have to stop him" .... mkay... that bad guy has about every ability known, while Parkman can... read minds! That's handy... but not really a combat assett. "Hmm... you're thinking about.... killing me! ... OUCH!" *splat*
And where's the drama about Hiro ending up in ~1600? He can just do his I-Dream-of-Jeannie-blink thing again and end up in another time. He can't be out of power because in this very episode he gave away his sword and said "It's not the sword, it's the man."
-
Grax - last scene of the sewer was just to add suspense. He could easily die down there!
But agree with Goza, Sylar could just be killed off very early in the next season.
The gun thing is not so important - it's about the fact that there's a part of the brain that makes them heroes. The part of the brain that the glass shard flew into, remember?
So Claire knows where to shoot him, to stop his powers. But yes, just generic shooting won't work.
Probably the same part of the brain that Sylar eats...
-
I would hazard a guess that hiro takes his time in 1600 to train with the best of the best and forge a new sword. It just means season 2 can then be about his learning maybe or start when he just re-appears as a samurai. (hopefully with a little less poundage hehe)
-
I suspect that he actually will turn out to be his own hero.
they mention some samurai from back then, I suspect this will turn out to be himself.
-
very possible. the legend told as hiro mentions when he goes for the sword is something about a stranger arrives from a far away place or something like this :)
-
Let me sum this up:
The hot cheerleader dies, her father, the enemy of the heroes, goes to space in his new space shuttle to exterminate heroes on mars, and the flying guy couldn't fly afterall. Sploosh.
-
grilly have you seen the show at all?
-
I saw half the first episode before I had to turn it off. It's like "Nutting cna hurt uz we r strung!" all the way, with a violent twist..
-
Well one of the cool things about this series is that the plot turns a lot.
ex. claires father is not against the heroes but is actually working with them
-

Thats quite a hefty sum of -ZKP you are asking for GRILL!@!@ Oo

im at episode 13 i think or was it 14 anyway im still not to impressed with this serie
-
!!!
-
after seeing all 23 episodes i can conclude its not THAT great a show you guys made it out to be
sure its good just not the hype you guys made it out to be
most of there powers are either done to death or hardly used at all
hiro still is my favorit hero though
oh and why the hell didnt peter flew off himself?
how ever all that doesnt prevent me from watching season to hope it will get better
-
after seeing all 23 episodes i can conclude its not THAT great a show you guys made it out to be
I rest my case. Seeing as Grish is into cartoons and the like, and thus he cannot possibly be very picky, this show fails.
I wonder how many true enemies I'm getting like this :o

I think its something do to with peter being a noob and not controlling stuff at all. hence he overloads. Sylar has a few deck when it comes to control of powers and never seems to struggle with controlling them. It just gets glazed over.
My BIGGEST question inthe whole series which nobody has mentioned is the following..
Ted is overloading and the whole house is fried. nothing is lasting, even Claire gets uberfried , yet she still managed to stick him with a standard needle... in a plastic tube... with fluid in. Or maybe im just being too picky :P

cartoons and anime can be 2 different things grilly
anyway im not saying this show is bad it has potential to a pretty good show currently however it lacked a good story to tie all of the caracters in
an even more obscure question payu isaac KNEW he was going to die why didnt he just go somewhere esle?
-
Necroresurrecting the thread!
Now that episode 1 of season 2 has aired - who has died from his wounds of season 1 finale? Surprise surprise: Noone! Who would have thought of that...
-
:)
Well peter alive wasnt a real shocker ofc.
More wondering what the brother and sister have for power.
They get seperated by distance/she gets angry, she goes LOLONESHOT mode?
Also predicting Hyro is the legendary Swordmaster Ronin guy from the past who becomes his hero. Paradox ftw
Still hoping for some functional nudity. The serie really lacks it.
C
-
It's definitely Hiro. I don't think the brother has any power. He's trying to save his sister, not both of them.
-
you should watch californication for that cwave.
Heroes would really need to change its focus to get a good reason for nudity.
Perhaps some Claire and the new guy stuff. She turned 18 recently \o/.
-
Yeah, pretty obvious that Hiro is fulfilling his own destiny. Good ol' time paradoxes.
Well, we haven't seen Sylar yet - but the guy that threw Mr Nakamura off the roof looked the same body shape as Sylar, so it could be him.
I guess we'll have to put up with Peter not knowing who he is for half the season... yay.
Otherwise, it was pretty awesome.
Good to see Clare doing some cheerleading again. You've all seen Get It On, right? :P
re: the sister - she has some kind of psychic scream thing. I think. You know, gets angry, screams, brain haemorrage... ooze out of ears/eyes, etc. Some kind of high-pitched/pychic attack anyway.
Or maybe some 'crying angel' thing, but that's a long shot.
-
Yeah. Distance sounds too complex/inpractical to maintain. She prob just goes warlock mode when she gets bullied.
-
I would love to see the 'New' bad guy fight against sylar. Which will
probably happen if Sylar Does survive.
Sylar: Humm... a newbad Guy? I would like to see how you Work.
New Bad Guy: Ho? I would Love to know how i work.
FIGHT!!!!
NewBadGuy owned into wall. Sylar gets turned inside out. WooT!
-
Concerning episode four 'The Kindness of Strangers', I think, not sure, watched it a few days ago.
Notable that neither Hiro or Peter was in this episode. Most interesting to me was Alejandro and Maya taking off with Sylar after he ditched the other guy which I find it a 'bit' too coincidental that just happened to lay beat on their exact path in the middle of frickin' Mexico. What are the odds, huh. Still interesting to find out what exactly their abilities are. Is she some kind of 'plague' and is he the 'cure' or is it just some unique ability. Also, does this mean that Sylar gone straight or did he totally forget how to steal abilities from others?
But the coolest thing was definitely Molly on her clairvoyance trip to Mr. Parkman 'the Boogeyman'. It will be pretty interesting to find out what his ability is and why he is scaring Molly in the first place. Still has me kind of. I don't think it will be in any of the same nature as Molly 'cos if so then he couldn't know she was looking for him when she was heading for his apartment. Then for sure I thought so when he evidently locked her up in her own mind if that is the right way of calling it and the freaky thing was that Matt could still hear her. Maybe he has some ability of breaking into someone's mind or something.
Then there was that bit with Micah's cousian that can copy physical actions and Claire's whole situation is starting to get lame as well.
Seems they are putting some more jokes in as well, especially in the end 'We're gunna need to go to Odessa', 'Texas?', 'No, the Ukraine'. Yeah, really funny. =/
-
I do not see anything telling us that sylar is going straight. He murdered a guy and found two people with extraordinairy abilities that he would like to possess.
I guess molly and parkmans fathers abilities are quite alike, but I suppose parkmans father has learned to master them. We are seeing more heroes with the same abilities ex. Claires boyfriend and Claires biological father (hmmm. coincidence), and Claire and that guy from ancient japan.
-
I'm quite sure that Sylar hasn't gone straight at all, as he's already murdered several people and quite obviously remembers his old ability and is hugely frustrated that he can't use it. As for the huge coincidence; Did you even see season one? There were insanely incredible things happening all over, so it's not really new for the series that the characters run into each other at the strangest places imaginable.
I like the way that Hiros adventures are taking as it seems interesting and there's a sort of three way drama going on there. On the totally "oh lord, that's stupid" side there's Peter in Ireland. I find it totally odd that he doesn't want to know who he is and stuff, but hey, that's just me and I haven't forgotten who I am, now have I?
I don't really mind the way Claires story is heading at the moment, although it is seriously obvious that her boyfriend (West) will most likely end up shooting her father.
Parkman/Molly/Saresh will be interesting to follow over the next episodes as that part is the most directly "this is the way we're headed" storyline in the series at the moment, and from my viewpoint also the most exciting.
Micahs cusin where she learns stuff from TV is sort of odd, and I don't really see how it will fit into the overall plot at the moment, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
-
Re: Micah and his mother (and their cousins) -- this was always a side plot, even in the first season. I guess it will continue to not be all that important, but might bump into other characters later on in the season.
Re: Sylar - NO CLUE how he ended up in Mexico. Seriously, that was a bit weird. But whatever - stranger shit has happened :)
Re: Claire & Boyfriend - boyfriend is being 'tracked' by the company (the chip in his shoulder), so eventually that will lead into some big chase/run/whatever. Probably mid-late season when things start warming up. Also, we assume Claire knows 'horn rimmed glasses' is her father, but who knows.
Re: Alejandro & Maya - it's some Christian stigmata thing. 'Crying angel' is some old thing... statues of angels/Mary 'crying blood'... etc. But not sure on the importance of her brother...
Can't wait to see what Parkman's dad turns out to be/do :)
-
Re: Sylar - NO CLUE how he ended up in Mexico. Seriously, that was a bit weird. But whatever - stranger shit has happened :)
Exactly my thoughts. Wasn't he amidst a ton of badly computer generated palms in the previous episode? After he killed the illusion girl - so those palms must have been real. Or the illusion-girl killing was an illusion of it's own, and she is just pretending to be dead & tracking his escape for some weird reason. I already wondered how someone who can create perfect illusions could be so stupid to get herself killed. But that whole idea is rather unlikely, even for Heroes...
Also, we assume Claire knows 'horn rimmed glasses' is her father, but who knows.
No need to 'assume', she directly said it after JerkBoy mentioned horn-rimmed-glasses. "It's my dad" (or something), then quickly adding "...he is overprotective" when JerkBoy got that suspicious look.
-
Glad to know that we both think he's JerkBoy... for being able to kiss Claire whenever he likes :P
-
She became legal in august \o/
-
Glad to know that we both think he's JerkBoy... for being able to kiss Claire whenever he likes :P
Oh how I whooly agree.
-
Oh come on grow up all of you, will ya!
She's the Unkillable Mutant Abomination who likes to cut off her toes, put her arm into waste grinder and jump off high buildings to break bones. They frickin' tore open her whole chest, yuck!
-
I'd do her. I guess she would be the perfect girl if you were in to snuff :P
-

thats sick

hey hey delling is the one that loves tentacle hentai and stuff not me
-
Then for sure I thought so when he evidently locked her up in her own mind if that is the right way of calling it and the freaky thing was that Matt could still hear her. Maybe he has some ability of breaking into someone's mind or something.
He reads minds. He's always had this ability. He's said frequently that he looks at Molly's dreams. I don't get how you can watch the show and ask those questions... :)
-

Not him you sillypants. I know Matt can hear what people think. I was talking about Mr. Parkman, .. what his ability is. Evidently he locked her up in her own mind.
-
'Mr Parkman Sr.' perhaps we should call him...
-
Whoops season2 is over, time for spoiler talk! If you haven't seen it yet, don't read ahead.

I noticed some parallels to the s1 ending: Instead of Parkman & Micah's dad being shot to pieces, this time we have Nathan shot and Niki trapped in an exploding basement. Will they survive?!?! Of course they will, just like Parkman/MicahDad before! Niki just left the basement thru a backdoor/window, Nathan still has Claire's blood in him and thus can't be killed by mere gunshots. Voila!
Also, instead of Sylar taking the sewer way out in s1 to return whenever it fits the writers, this time it's Adam being stashed away, to return whenever someone digs him up. That's convenient. Pussy Hiro for not making sushi out of his head.
But who shot Nathan? My guess: Future Peter! Peter likes timetravelling. In the distant future he'll notice going public = not good as angry mob kills all heroes or some Heroes vs. Mundane People War started etc. Of course the only way to stop his brother is by shooting him, that's Perfect Peter Logic. As Nathan has ClaireBlood, Peter knows he won't die, just be silenced. And shooting = better cliffhanger than Peter just popping out of time 10 minutes before the press conference and having some brothertalk with Nathan. Nono, heroes do it their way.
Now how to end season3 ("Sylar teh big threat") in 10 seconds?
Hiro: "Molly, go find Sylar."
Molly: "He's is at [location]."
Hiro blinks & teleports.
Hiro freezes time.
Hiro chops Sylar to pieces.
Hiro: "Me saved world!"
-
first off, this was just the midseason break.
And no I dont think its Peter. The mother talks about opening pandoras box, that would make no sense if they knew the future, and I really dont see the mother and peter collaborating like that.
And another thing Peters gay empathic character could never shoot his own brother, even if he knew it wouldnt kill him. (I do admit that future Pete seems quite hardcore)
I think a big problem with heroes is the fact that classic american superheroes generally dont kill people.
I wonder when hiro turns in to future hiro and grows a set of balls.
-
Peter too empathic to shoot his own brother is a good argument. But I don't think the writers go much for logic here, but instead for the big bang effect. Also notice electricity wielding Peter in the Odessa basement, and he knows Nathan will survive so it's just a means to temporaly stop him. You know, because "he wouldn't have listened to me" ::)
Who do you think the shooter is then? Claire's dad being blackmailed by the company? A new character?
-
Erhmm i think Hiro just grew a pair when he buried a person alive....
Pretty hardcore if you ask me :P
Also, i think the chick in the fire basement will get her powers back even though she has the virus, proving "we" can beat this if we really want to etc etc.
the shot brother of peter will not die, i suspect the blood will heal him up again, but just as with many stories of resurrecting, he will come back evil, like the mirror image he saw a few times.
-
Hmm two things.
Could Adam die from thirst/hunger/exfixiation? Being able to heal yourself shouldnt stop those causes of death tbh. Then this might have been the best bet of a way to kill him for hiro.
I wouldnt be surprised if it was a new character, but I think the way we are shown his back is supposed to make us think its a guy we know.
With regard to Nikki/Jessica, could it be that only one of the two is infected?
Now that I think of Nikki I could actually see Pete killing nathan. If pete has Nikkis skill we have still to see his strong evil twin, perhaps this is the future pete we have seen, and in this future he seemed to be dating nikki/jessica too.
-
I got a bit confused with all the blood & needle sharing in this season, it's worse than a shooting gallery.
Noah was injected with Claire's blood to revive him.
Nathan was injected with Adam's blood to cure his burns.
What was Niki injected with... Suresh's blood to disable her heropowers?
Suresh was on his way to Niki to inject her with... Clairy or Adam blood to give her back her powers...?
Sylar injected himself... Claire or Adam blood to cure himself from whatever he was injected with by whoever to strip him from his powers?
-
Niki injected herself with the virus
Not any blood
-
When did they ever takes Adam's blood?
-
They never took it, but he gave it to nathan after the explosion
-
Was anyone else bothered that Peter had to break open the vault instead of walk through the wall?
-
We have already seen him do that, I think the directors want to show us his potential. (Remember that peter is utterly retarded).
-
Yeah Rue, I was face-palming for that whole scene.
We already know Peter's potential, damnit!
So we just got treated to some Yoda-like hand wiggling... exciting...
Wall-walking is much cooler!
-
Right!
Potential was the wrong world, I think the directors want to show us how much of his potential he is beginning to understand himself.
He could have teleported in there, wallwalked, blown up /melted the door.
-
Yeah Rue, I was face-palming for that whole scene.
We already know Peter's potential, damnit!
So we just got treated to some Yoda-like hand wiggling... exciting...
Wall-walking is much cooler!
Adam cant wallwalk and is guiding the thickheaded peter so....
Joda style vault opening!
-
Adam followed Peter through the wall in the 'jail' earlier in the season :(
-
Adam followed Peter through the wall in the 'jail' earlier in the season :(
Damn...
Well then it clearly had kryptonite in it....
Ok, they suck with that scene, i agree
-
Clarie's father killed the petrelli.. He is a hitman who is back on his job and the company needs to kill petrelli without powers so he is the only logical canditate.
-
Why does it have to be somebody without powers?
-
But who shot Nathan? My guess: Future Peter! Peter likes timetravelling. lol
-
Goza has the power to see the future i tell you! Although Nathan doesn't have Claire Blood.
-
Yeah he has AdamBlood, right? Can't really keep track of all that bloodswapping.
Can someone remind me what happened to Linderman in season 2 (or 1?), and what his special ability was? I remember something about Niki, her husband and the son and some illusion thing going on in an appartment, but that's kinda it.
-
Linderman did the thing with reviving the dead flower... or killing the living one. I forget which.
He also got killed... and then blown up.
-
Linderman got killed by Nikki's husband. The black dude, can't remember his name. He The one that could walk through material. He grabbed the brain of linderman with his hand.
And Linderman died, but now he's a schizofrenic figgurine of Nathan. Linderman had the ability to heal. As said in episode 2. Quote by nathan: "So it was you who healed me!".
And i think if you 'insert' claire's blood in your veins, it'll only work for one heal or something, dont think it's permanent.
-
The Linderman thing was very cool. Very mystic.
Guess it's something to do with Linderman and Nathan's father (they have some bond, from Vietnam, right?)
My money is on Linderman being God, or something funky like that.
Good guess, re: Peter :)
-
OMG, you think he's this fucking douchebag?
-
Hehehe.
Well...
Could be.
Not sure about this adrenaline thing btw -- Claire's blood saved Horn-Rimmed Glasses. Felt a bit like the 'Okay, The Force is these little thingees in your blood...' cop out.
Also, what did Sylar take from Claire? :) Her Adrenal gland?
-
Well, at least they made Indian Cretin Quack say those lines... did you expect something clever from him?
-
this show is getting worse for every minute that passes. the first two episodes in this season were .. "meh" at best.
the story this season seems to be a ripoff from s1.
the new badguy "heroes" like that flaming hand guy ... wtf is this cartoon spiderman for kids or something. why the shit would they just go torch some random dude at a gas station? that scene was so fucking B it pissed me off.
other various scenes - like when claire is moving backwards with the knife in her house, to the kitchen ... who the fuck does that? - are horrible written.
this show is turning way more to the kids in the audience i believe, atleast compared to when it first came ... im not gonna watch this garbage.
not to mention that irritating indian dude who finally gets his 5 minutes in the spotlight, shirtless.
-
I have to agree a bit with devlin here. I didn't like the scene where the dude torches this woman at a gas station, it was not very tastefull.
The scene where claire was alone in her house, and sylar came to visit her.. like a cheap horror movie. It's a bit. MEEH. I mean, it's fucking sylar, he could've burst through that cardbord door in a second, but no, he got knived.
*HNNG*. Hope they'll shape up, the rest was pretty good imo.
-
HER CLOSET IS MADE OF CRYPTONITE SO SYLAR CANT ENTER! ..... BUT HE JUST MOVED THE WHOLE HOUSES INVENTORY TO BLOCK THE EXITS/WINDOWS
-
Hmmmmm..... the hate is rising!
My job is almost done here!
-
Have only seen episode 1 so far. Pretty shit.
And I still manage to be amazed of the stupidity of the characters. they are all retards with powers.
