Title: Clashing
Post by: smollet on December 15, 2007, 09:50:56 pm
Well here it goes

My character name is Clashing my real name is craig i live in the north east of scotland in my free time you'll usually find me in Wow, drinking or playing rugby

but to the stuff that really matters i was originally on the realm "ragnaros" which was alrite i spose me and my friends were all going to have a 5vs5 team until i searched Wow movies on youtube nd came across "tales of the past" this beets most blockbuster hits ive ever seen and was a great movie i noticed it said it was from a guild iron edge on server dune maul so i took out my credit card and changed server. I presumed it was going to be one of those guilds where they'll have 40 members who'll play like 24/7 and have no life its not until i was talking to an extremely helpful guild member "brother" about the guild he showed me the website when i read it i realised its a vvery social guild and one that i would really like to be part of
Im not tryin to be a kiss ass or anything but to me this is a perfect guild and a brilliant idea to have a member criteria where u dont have to be involved in every raid and have the most amazing kit. The down side of changing server is ofcource i have no friends and family in the guild im just hoping you can find it in your hearts to let me join.

If you cant your an awesome guild and keep it up

A little link to your gear, and an explanation of what you usually like to do ingame could be cool aswell... :)

A link to my gear... lets just say its not the best im going for full gladiator i have enough honor/marks for the head and shoulders at the moment so i guess PvP is what i like doing in game although i LOVE raids, i wanted to see what all the raids were like so i created my own private server so any casuals who cant expierience the raids wanna try tehm out i can giv them instant GM power to have a wee look at them (set realmlist 192.168.1.67 ) i guess thats one benifit i could bring to the guild although i dont suggest going on a private server to often they are quite addictive but good to have a look at kit and instances. So give me a shout if you want a GM account might come in handy for making the movies aswell

hope someone will sponcer me

thanks for ur time

smollet are you aware that the IE raiding team has completed the game?
And really seing the game as a single person really has nothing to do with trying it in a raid:)

And I highly doubt that a private server can be even more addictive than wow it self.

192.168.1.67

You know that's your internal lan ip and nobody except you can access it? ;)

ok first The private serevr was just an idea just if you want to try anything that you cant do in the game yes the realmlist is my IP address thats how private servers work you are playing from my computer at your computer (if that makes sence :P)
and although wow is very addictive i personally thought private server is more addictive but thats because im not in a raiding guild or anything in retail wow

but anyway as i said it was just an idea mainly to get some support for joining the guild

still hoping i will get a sponcer

thx for your time

Not quite what I meant.  192.168.* ip addresses are internal LAN ip addresses which cannot be accessed from the internet.  Only people on your lan (the pcs at your house) can access them.

You need to forward whatever ports the server uses from your cable/adsl/whatever router to your lan ip (192.168.1.67) and then give people your public (intenet) ip.

You can get your internet ip here: http://www.whatismyip.com/ - Be warned, your internet ip might change every time you connect to the internet.

hmm u sound right but one of my mates who lives like 10 miles away plays on it frequently he says "your IP  adress works ans an access code to get on your computer by setting your realmlist to your ip address you are allowing overs to acecess your computer" hope that makes more sence to you than it does to me :P

thanks for your time

by the way tales of the past 2 was awesome cant wait to watch the third

Hey, just wondering. How do i even get to download a private server or something? Because i want to use it to test talent specs and stuff, and PTR isn't always up.

You really should have a sponsor when you post here, and he should be a person you know very well, not someone you just meet in an instance or something.

Mm. I think somehow, people seem to have gotten the totally wrong idea about what F&F applications are for, despite it being really self-explanatory.

I'd say we should have a big ol' sticky about this, except we already do.

Can't we add flashing lights to it or something? Or make it so you can't make a topic in this forum unless you've read the sticky?

@ some point someone has got to step up to the plate and start to administrate this F&F forum , currently this is being discussed within the Officer ranks but for now i will say this.

this spread is what the title says a Friend or a Family so let me break it down for you..

Friend ... now this can be a RL friend or even someone you have played this game or another game with and become online friends.

Family .... as it states brother or sister or uncle or great great Grandad all apply under this title.

unfortunatly you dont qualify under any of these and therefor i'm closing this thread by wishing you good luck in finding a guild and wishing you a merry xmas.
