maybe they earn much more from gaming instead of filming?
-
Indeed... :) CGI films take such a huge amount of time to create; such a huge amount of resources... And if you look at the only other big game franchise with a CGI film, Final Fantasy, I don't think they made a fortune from Spirits Within/Advent Children.
The amount of monthly revenue from 10 million subscribers is quite insane :)
-
haha yeah but it would really be cool to see tho :) that u have to admit!
-
I think they would make BILLIONS, if they made a 2 hour movie looking like the cinematic trailers. Even people that wouldn't like warcraft still visit it. It's like lord of the rings, people that dont like the genre still go to it, because it was epic.

well with that money they could make a CGI movie huh? :)
and well about the Spirits Within stuff
i think thats one of the main reasons square had to merge enix just so they wouldnt go banktrupt
hell i think i read somewhere they went banktrupt BECAUSE of that movie costing shit tons

i dont think they would make BILLIONS because to make it look THAT good it takes such a large amount of time and cost huge amounts of cash
as far as i know no movie ever made 1 billion dorrah
i could be wrong though

I think you fail to understand the scale of WoW... :P
The FF franchise has had a lot more than 10 million players.
A big blockbuster will make 100 million in one weekend.
The first Harry Potter film almost made a billion, and that was because it was in cinemas for a year or more (it was that popular).
IIRC, the last HP book sold something like 15 million in 24 hours, around the world.
It would be cool, but... it's a long way off I think :P
@ Grish -- a few films have, but only a few :) Check the link!

Goosebumps D:
-
oh man
EPIC! dont know what more to say. fuck me, that dragon looks fucking legendary!
-
omg wow
-
that was amazing!
-
its very interesting that arthas is still hearing his fathers voice. could this mean that theres still pieces of the "old" arthas in that shell?
this storyline is the one im most fond of in warcraft. the story with king terenas and arthas is very good, and it will be fun to see how it plays out.

According to MMO-champion the dragon is:
Sindragosa
The frostwyrm featured in the video is most likely (as in "not officially confirmed") Sindragosa. Little is known about her for the moment but through datamining we already know that she holds the title of <The Frost Queen> in game and is very closely related to Arthas. One of the subzone of Icecrown Glacier is also named Sindragosa's Fall.
