Hey guys, my name is Alex, 24 years old (half Scottish, Half Greek, living in London), and an avid volunteer for the Red Cross in London :) my main character is Metus, a level 70 Protection Warrior on Dunemaul. I am applying for a WotLK raiding spot. Some of you may know me from laughing over TS at Fili being a blinky noob :P After talking for a while with Nox (who stole my name ><), here I am making this application ^^
I started my warcraft career back in April 2005 (I missed the first wave in february and had to wait for the re-releases ><); a very general history can be found at http://www.warcraftrealms.com/charsheet/6439656 (http://www.warcraftrealms.com/charsheet/6439656). When I dinged 60, I found myself in Titans which merged to become dark horizons. After taking a break that summer however, I went kinda casual and joined a lower guild to help them through MC, which was Terra Nova. Later I went on to form Fallen with Naughty By Nature, which I led for a couple of years. Having to do my postgrad, again I found myself concentrating on University and joined Mini Ravenous which suited my schedule. Now my postgrad is over, I am playing hardcore again and wish to dedicate my resources to Iron Edge, a guild which I fell in love with years ago having watched your take on Monty Python, but was too dedicated to my own guild to ever make an application anywhere else. I am now back in Fallen to chat and be silly with my mates in game, of whom I know alot in real life after several guild meetings we hold, but Fallen now is a casual/alt guild as our members have moved on to other guilds and servers. I know quite alot of players in IE and wish to raid seriously with mates, good players I can trust in game and strive to dismantle Bliz's efforts to hold players back :D
Character Information
As mentioned above, my main character is Metus, a level 70 protection warrior, and I love tanking :D Been MT for Fallen for years, and wish to remain a tank. Other chars I have is a 68 hunter (soon to be 70) and soon to level a shammy, to assist in raids and the guild whenever needed. As Fallen stopped raiding last September and I have not been raiding much since, my gear is rather undergeared at the moment, but as this is a WotLK application, I don't expect to raid before then. Attunements are rather irrelevant at the moment except for pre-tbc, to which I am attuned to all instances :P
I am free to raid every weekday after 6:30pm Server time until 9am :P and weekends I am free all day.
I wish to join Iron Edge because not only are alot of my in-game mates there, a few who I know in real life (*waves to Nox*), but also for the quality and level of raiding, the attitude and determination to be the best and the guild cohesiveness and feeling of actually being part of a team, which many guilds I find lack.
I can offer you a very dedicated player, a very experienced tank, with a very open attitude towards the game, someone who can take a bitching when deserved, and sometimes give it when I feel needed. Experienced in leading raids for a few years, I can also offer my perception of raids, perspective of boss tactics and encounters, as an inate problem-solver, my biggest thrill in the game is figuring out a new encounter and defeating it; I get bored of farming where everything becomes routine. I am very friendly with a very open sense of humour, although very silly and sometimes cruel at points.
