I know we are all currently gripped by HoN fever, however I think a different sort of DotA clone "LoL" is also worth a look. http://www.leagueoflegends.com/

I am going to sign up to the beta. If anyone else is interested post below so I can include your email address in my sign up. This apparently improves the chance of being selected for the beta...

I read about it and I dont really like the concept of the game being free and then you can pay for extra stuff.

Sounds like magic cards, where the one paying the most will own the most.

Depends what you pay for.  If they are mostly cosmetic changes, I don't see the problem.

I've played it a bit.  Quite dissapointing. It's the concept of dota all over, but just doesn't feel right. HoN beats this to the ground imo.

I'll play it some more and write a better preview on it.

I played a few games today, and its decent enough, lost of specialization options to play around with if you win some games with runes and shit.  But its got some problems, not a fan of the interface plus it was very laggy.  HoN for now i think.

It looks interesting, my only bother with it is the whole talent system, one of the things I like about dota/hon is that the only advantage conferred by playing more is more experience.

I don't like the way it's made, the graphics dont really attract me. Plus the interface is too much, ruins most of the screen tbh.

True, laggy. And I don't like the whole gaining/talenting thing either. Besides, the game play feels slow to me, which didn't got to me really.

Furthermore, it's oke. But it won't make it next to HoN tbh. It's a failed attempt to make a game out of DotA, and change some things.
