Title: Protection Paladin - A Raid application
Post by: noxos on October 14, 2009, 04:36:55 pm
Hey everyone.

Basic info:

Name: Noxos
Class: Paladin
Race: Bloodelf
Main spec: Protection (5/59/7)
Sec spec: Retribution (7/10/54) this is my pvp spec.
Armory link: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&n=Noxos (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&n=Noxos)
Glyphs: Check armory ;)

About myself:
My name is Jesper I'm 20 years old and live in the enormous nation of Denmark. I'm single at the moment so I got alot of time to play in ;)
At the moment I'm working every day from 8:00 – 16:00 and will be doing that for the next couple of years. Other than that, I love to rock out with the cock out and drink some beers in the weekends.

Raiding experience:
Pre TBC: I did'nt play when Vanilla was the shit.

TBC: It was only during end of TBC that I got my eyes open for raiding, so I only did Kara, Gruul and the other “easier raids”, as I simply didn’t have the gear for the harder raids at the point.

WoTLK: Naxx 10/25, OS 10/25, VoA 10/25, ToC 10/25 all full cleared. Ulduar 10/25 need to kill Algalon in both XD. Speaking of ToC10 HC I still need to kill Anub as well as all bosses in 25-man mode.

Why did you leave your last guild?
Well actually; It's pretty simple. Concerning raiding I want progress and fun and RM has been lacking both of these qualities for some time now. So when I was advised to make an application for IE, I decided to take the chance, and see how it goes :)

Gemming and enchants:
I have enchanted and gemmed my gear while aiming for the best stats(imo ofc) on all my tanking gear, Ofcause I realise that there still exists some debate conscerning enchants and if you can argue why I should be gemming or enchanting differently I will naturally do so.

Consumables:
Food: Fish Feast hands down! If not avavible I will be using Dragonfin Filet (40str and 40sta)as it provides both stamina for survivability and strength for threat generation.
Flask: Always Flask of Stoneblood.
Potion: Depends what there is needed. I sometimes find myself using a Runic Health Potion if things look grim. Other than that I use indestructible potion in some situations if I’m expecting a big hit.

Professions:
At the moment I have JC and mining, I have taken JC because I think it's one of the best all around professions. I have been thinking of replacing mining with BS, but I don't really get anything out of it tankwise, so the only reason for chaning this should be for increasing me DPS spec. I will probably do this sometime when I'm bored in the winter :)

Do you know anyone in IE?
Ye, I know two of your new members /point Zoyburk and Rivered.

Hooray!

I'm glad we're getting a chance to trial you.

Sorry about the wait. Jouvart took longer than I expected to leave the guild.

I won't be there for the first hour tonight, but I'll get someone to invite you.

-D

You should probably try and turn up on Sunday for 10man and 10man heroic TOC and Algalon. See this thread: http://xoops.iron-edge.co.uk/forum-new/index.php?topic=4329
