Yo,
Basically I'm going to my best mates passing out parade in a couple of weeks, and I'm wondering if anyone has been to one before -- and if so, what do people wear?!?
I'm not up for turning up over dressed or under dressed looking like a tit. Is it a suit and boot jobbie? or more casual -- jeans etc??
Would be good if anyone could help!
:D

I think it might depend the location and very much from person to person.
When I went to my cousins people were in all sorts, I'd advise go for like a shirt and smart trousers, but no need for super smart.

Passing out parade? What is he passing?

The finishing of his basic training, I think.

Hire a SS uniform Jamess!

When in doubt, suit up! Drop the tie if it turns out to be more casual, or be cool with a slim black tie. If your friends are marines, bring some lube.
-
I second the suiting up! If it turns out it's too much, go to the wardrobe with your jacket and the tie, undo a button and roll up your sleves!

If it's in the UK chances are you'll be standing outside for a while, in the cold. So go for something warm. Smart-Casual seems to be the general consensus. It shouldn't matter too much what you wear, I'd go for black shoes though.

Cool, that's kinda what I was thinking it would be like, and yeah, it's in the UK so it should be pretty chilly :(
