Title: New anti-virus?!
Post by: Yoica on November 05, 2009, 10:15:27 am
I've been using AvG for quite a while now, but they decided to go emo and will only have a retail version after dec 1st. Does anyone know of another good free anti-virus?

I saw some good reviews on microsoft security essentials. Free and apparently very good anti-virus.

Don't do norton, it blows.

Kaspersky is not free, but not expensive either. Full internet security and it doens't snoop away alot of your memory.

Erm.  There is a free version after the 1st of December.  Read the upgrade pages more carefully :P

Right at the bottom, in very small text, is, "Upgrade my current version only".  This is the link you need!

Been using avast free home edition for over a year now. Seems to do the job. Give it a go if you're still looking.

Btw. you are mistaken.
They just want us to upgrade to the free avg 9 version before dec. 1st.

Its still free.

tbh. I havent had a problem with a virus while using avg. so I dont see a point paying money for another program.
