Title: surround headsets
Post by: Sertth on December 05, 2009, 04:16:23 pm
Anyone using/tried these kinda headsets?
So far i see that there is two methods used in these kinda equipment;
multi drivers and software emulation/simulation.

These are using emulation but seems good:

These three are using multi-drivers, but I dont know anything about these brands:

I have a Speed Link Medusa Home (http://www.speedlink.com/?p=2&cat=3193&pid=18675&paus=1).  Pretty nice.  No emulation or drivers required (if u get the non-usb version.)

After discovering my Creative x-FI has the same 3d virtualization ability, I decided on a Razer Barracuda HP1 (http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-audio/razer-barracuda-hp1/).
Gonna update the post when i receive it.

Yeh I have that one aswell Justa. I had alot of trouble with it in the start... But then I found the magic buttom on the remote which turns on the mic and speakers at the same time. The sound is good but at some times I cant get it to work with Vent, must be some setting some where that needs to be checked. Anyhow they are great.

Say no to expensive headsets! You are doing it wrong anyway.
