Didn't realise it was quite this bad
-
Bad?

Cold as hell is what it is!
Norway probably looks the same
Global warming my ass

Very cool picture!
-15 degrees celsius next week or so. During the day. In holland.
My god... the humanity!

well, the scientists said that as a side-effect of global warming parts of northern europe would get colder as hot countries get hotter, sux to be us ;D
it should especially be noticeable around Norway, GB, Faroes, Iceland and Greenland as-well as some parts in Europe.. :-[
-
Jesus, -15? That's crazy! I'm glad to be on an island again...
That first video is awesome Monstar... in a scary kind of way.
-
-25 outside and need to take dogs out few times a day... so fun
-
we have had minus 30 degrees outside for a couple of days now, i feel for devlin as he lives even further north in this frozen hellhole
-
Isn't that the usual temperature in the winter though...?
-
we usually have around minus 10-20 in the winter with max 2-3 days a year with around 30, its been around 30 from time to time all this winter tho. So yes, its colder then usuall
-
did some car skating today down a very icy road, was quite fun doing handbrake turns.
then went car skiing, you tie a rope to the back of a car/van and hold on while going at about 10 mph, it's dangerous but hella fun!
-
LOL when we have +10 we are freezing!
-
it was awesome had about 8+ inches of snow in Swindon on tuesday
snowball fights + sledging is always good fun =P
saw some drivers fail too which was pretty hilarious
-
Same in Manchester, parents have had no work, siblings no school, and no work for me either. :)
-
Just when you think it looks like clearing up, it snows again :(
-
I love it, NO SCHOOL!
-
It's 15 here lol. Anything under 10 and it's called freezing:)
-
The coldest places in Norway, such as Røros (in the eastern part of the country), are currently having temperatures below -40 Celsius. The online newspapers are flooding with videos of people throwing boiling water into the air which instantly freezes and turns to snow :P.

Woah, you'd have to be really stupid to voluntarily live in a country like that.
-
Not really...
You should check out their GDP/GNP, quality of life, etc.
They have VAST oil reserves. Lucky sods.
-
I saw an article in a swedish news paper that said "escape the cold and go to sunny exotic places that are 40 degrees warmer!"
Then I went like, "why would you want to pay for a trip like that to a 0 degree place?"
The news paper does not take northern Sweden into account...
-
Hahaha.
I can imagine English commercials now: 'Treat yourself! Go somewhere 5C warmer!'
You see, we don't like REALLY hot things. Just slightly hotter. Or really, it's just the rain that people want to get away from on their holidays.
Heatwaves in the UK are the same as a few inches of snow... SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING.
-
I wonder what they'll bring up this time. New Ice Age? Oooh boy, oh boy, I bet a new Al Gore film is coming out soon! ^^
-
We need to burn more fossil fuels to stop the ice age!
-
But ... I want to see an army of "Scrat's" take over the world!
-
That pic of the UK being all white is just amazing.

Are you a member of the BNP? :)
-
I lol'd :D
-
LMAO!
On side note; the bigger ice ages were all pre-dated by an increase in global tempature before cooling.
-
Try walking in it every day for a living =(
-
Mickah lives?
-
Yeah, he logs in occasionally on the forum... I guess the snow has him off work...
-
It's funny , for a country so obsessed with the weather your shit at predicting it and even worse at dealing with it...
-
Obsessed with the weather? You mean... rain?
-

It's very rare to see the UK just white, nothing else, not even some green...
and we don't really stockpile the salt/grit for the roads as it only really heavily snows every few years
-

Actually, the MET is *incredibly* good at getting it right.
-
I've heard that here in Holland, that in the big cities, we've ran out of salt/grit for the roads.

Actually the reason you dont stockpile grit salt is since its only effective for a few months before going off so you cant really stockpile it:(

This guy is like the creepy nieghbourhood stalker. You know, the one who is always hanging around, trying to be helpful and no one is quite sure what he is doing there, and it creeps you out.
Then one day you leave your house and go to start your car. You get there and pat yourself down, and find you don't have the keys, and can't remember where you put them. Then all of a sudden he steps out from behind a bush and goes "oh don't worry, you left them on the sink in the bathroom", with a big friendly smile on his face.
Creepy.
