Post by: Rucious on May 11, 2010, 04:23:57 pm
Hey all,
This might not be good place to ask but as much as I ask to you all people much ideas I got is good enough for me..My computer's gfx has a little problem, its been time since I have this problem was cba to look or to go to a specialist. I hope that you could help me out.

I have to use staple so the upper gfx would work properly. The problem might be socket but it might be gfx as well. so any ideas you can share I'd appreciate.

Most likely socket, so your card lose connection or so. If i understood your concerns. :D And if it works, why change it? :)

I'm not going to change anything. it works with this staple or something hard like that. just wonder what can I do to fix it.

I would change the staples with something non-conducting.

Do you have the mounting screws actually screwed in for the cards?  Are they tight?

You should've asked before if I built it or not? How would I know if screwing would solve it?

Whoever built it is retarded.  If it was you, be ashamed.  If not, don't buy pcs from whoever built it again.

Hm, whats that Cooler master box u got there, looks pretty nice and 850w power supply Oo

You know, it could just be that your power supply is on the wrong side of your case.  If your case is vertical (the pics taken from the side), then the heat from that is going to be doing nasty things to your gfx cards.  In every case I've ever seen, the psu is mounted in the space at the top of your pictures, not where u have it.

It's the CPU cooler, cooler master V8 if u meant that, and the case is HAF932 cooler master as well. and yeah 850w power supply is good enough I might change to 1000w soon if I buy new 5970 gfx..

hmm..well in this case there isn't place for the psu on the top.so this case's power supply is built to be on ground side yeh. I should take the case to a specialist I guess.

Just a thought here.  Given the weird power supply position and the fact that u are, essentially, propping one card up on the other.  Have u tried simply laying the case flat, instead of upright?  Should fix both problems.

(flat = open side of the case pointing up...)

They're 5850 yeh expensive shits... there wasn't better stick or wood to hold the gfx so I just had the staple to use :)

Maybe for raids you could just put it on it's side for a few hours.  Then, when you want to impress the ladies with your pro pc case, u can put it back!
