Not sure if everyone knows about this, but My Anime List.net holds a pretty neat function to share your anime list and show the way you rated that anime.
for pretty much every episode of every anime theres a discussion board, but mostly its just rly handy to keep an oversight with at what episode you are with what anime
check it out :)

This is why (I think) youtube went from using a 1 to 5 star rating system to using just either "like" or "dislike", as everyone just rates anything they like as maximum rating and anything they vaguely dislike as minimum rating :P

well 10/10 would imply its perfect and we would never need anything new after it cause nothing would ever be as good
seeing as i had more fun watching needless then i did watching R2
allthough i did like spinzaku
-
10/10 could also imply 'a masterpiece in its genre', something achieved by some animes in my opinion
and especially on MAL where u can give either a 9 or a 10, a 10 is just more fitting for some animes

code geass R2 is neither a masterpiece nor should it ever be considered as such
and i have yet to find a anime that i would give 10/10

Needless was like a 6 or 7.
edit*
also gotta agree with Cinn about 10 not being a perfect rating - if we actually stuck to that, you'd basically never give anything a 10/10 in any type of review for anything ever :P
That said, I think it's still common practice for many to throw around 10s and 1s freely when rating things. On the other hand, with enough ratings I guess it balances out (after all, looking at the ratings of stuff on MAL - there's only 4 that have a rating of 9. Although they weight their overall ratings, how I'm not certain.)
