Title: Dungeon Keeper
Post by: kagemoth on September 07, 2010, 06:56:41 pm
Thats right folks , probably one of the best single player games EVER made..
for those of you who aren't fimiliar with this classic check out this intro.

I really recommend this game to anyone just looking for a bit of fun.
Note , i said Dungeon Keeper , not Dungeon keeper 2. DK2 was "ok" at best.. they
sacrificed a lot of awsome gameplay for graphics. Never a good thing imo.

I am having trouble with ingame Music Tracks. Do i am running it from images and
using Daemon tools. Would that have anything to do with it?

Other than that i am having no issues other than sum lvls seem to have Broken AI.
It might just be a broken image i downloaded ;(

I'm not sure if it was this or DK2 I played as a kid, but THE. WHEEL OF FATE. IS TURNING.

Games often had their music soundtracks in music-CD format on the cdrom back then.

when people made rips and pirated images they often removed them because it was more than 70% of the games size in a world where 64 Kbit/s was a very fast connection :)

Someone in the guild must have the original game and could upload a copy :)

I sadly only have a legal version of DK 2, there seems to be some torrents available at around 630 MB they would surely be with music.

funny thing was when I grabbed DK1 from the intarwebs years back, it had all the sound and stuff, but it was DK2 that was missing the VOICE! Gotta tell you too, was impressive how integral that voice was to the gameplay... missing it almost ruins the game compared to the first!

I have the original cd somewhere *checks*  Found it!

My net isn't the best, though.  Suggestions on where I could UL it?

Edit: And what to rip the data/audio with...

Awesome game, I just love the narrator, the voice itself and the things he says are great between the levels :P

I loved the cool features DK1 had, like going 1st person into your minions (especially Imps to go digging), and using all those cool spells, it really was a groundbreaking game imo.

I have problem... I have Deeper Dungeons (Dk1 "expansion") and it's all working good
and well except i cant FUCKING choose the lvls after lvl5  BECAUSE my pc is so damn
fast for this game it scrolls right down to the bottom instantly. Any way to choose
those missions other than having to select them?
