Post by: Grishnag on September 23, 2010, 01:18:50 am: So i had some issues with the civ5 demo not wanting to run tried a number of things that might work as some suggested on the steam forums but nothing works then someone came along and said that something about having foreing character in your name (like an umlaut or something similar) as your user account for windows might be causing the issue

i never actualy expected it to work but it did
of all the things that made it not run that was the last thing i expected to make it not work
anyway what i had to do was make a different account for windows without a foreing character in my name and it worked

Post by: delling on October 08, 2010, 01:25:55 pm: Mine definitely gets a little slow in the late-game... and loading the NPC chat screens takes a looong time.

Then when you go back to the world view, all the textures reload and stuff...

Definitely buggy -- enjoyable though!
