Time for more games before Cataclysm:
Post-apocalyptic setting, almost everyone dead, dormant robots idling around. You & chick crash on a slave transport, then chick enslaves you with some techgimmick (she dies -> you die) in order to get you to help her get back to her folks.
Game is basically an action adventure. Maneuver obstacles (Prince of Persia), fight robots, collect orbs to enhance your abilities. It's quite easy, especially the climbing sequences won't let you fall to your death, only "valid moves" are allowed.
Anyway: very high production values, the whole game is set in vibrant colors, they have a very good level and gameplay flow. Also, the script was cowritten by Alex Garland(The Beach, 28 Days Later) and the main char is motion captured by Andy Serkis (Gollum, King Kong). So while the story isnt that extraordinary, cutscenes and dialogue are good and don't make you cringe in pain like so many other games do.
Enslaved isn't that long (~7-8h, I completed it during one very long weekend session), it's solo play only, so maybe rather a rent than buy.

Developer Ninja Theory did Heavenly Sword (PS3) before.
