Title: Making WoW Movies
Post by: Gozhell on November 05, 2010, 08:32:00 pm
Over the last months I've frapsed some of this, some of that and thought that I'd try and make something out of it before Cataclysm. Most of the clips are frapsed at 50fps. This is a lot if I understood it correctly and I am now recording at 30fps. I uploaded a B-raid clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obfpkw6xvEg&feature=player_embedded) but for some reason audio would not render.

Today I made a new clip from leveling in Sethekk Halls with some RL mates and problem there is that a 9minute clip ended up at 7.46gb and when decoding it from .mov to .avi I lost more quality than I wanted to. It managed to render audio perfectly though so that's on the plus side!

I've gone over a few things with Cwave but I wonder further if there are rendering presets that could be shared like they can be shared with Sony Vegas.

ANY help wether it comes to fps, rendering or tips in general are VERY appreciated!

Thanks!

I used http://community.23video.com/help/FAQ_Compressing_Video this weekend for the scandinavian videomarathon. Got from 1.5gb to just 50mb and the loss in quality is very little.

What program do you use for editing?

I have some experience in final cut and premiere pro. Plus a little on the sides with avid.
