If you're gonna apply for a position as a PvPer, then you need to explain what you've achieved so far in PvP, and what makes you qualified for a position as a PvPer in the guild. And an armory link would be greatly appreciated.

This application looks like it took you about 5 minutes to write too, which isn't particularly impressive.

Gotta agree with Super, you need to talk more about your achievements in PvP.

idd there you have point :)

Well isam playing my druid now for a couple of years and normaly i did the most pve.
Last year... because of Zodi(acc) i start playing pvp. She was also my arena m8 on her lock and me on my druid. We where a pretty good team. If you look at my rating is was someting like 1945. Not that hight but thats because we started late in season together. But i can say that iam a pretty good resto druid. I have  ahigh skill and after Zodi iam the best druid!!!! haha

http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dunemaul&cn=Struikje

I can get my gloves offcourse but i safe my points for now.

Iam at this moment a Officer in Mortality Shift. But i want a hardcore pvp guild and offcourse i want to have alot of fun with you guys :)

If you want something els to know just ask me :)

And i think iam a very good and friendly person who allways wants to help people!

Even if you don't qualify for a pvp place (I guess ppl want higher rating and stuff,) you can probably join as friend/family, being the cousin of a member.  When she passes trial, that is :)

I really hope that i can join your guild. Believe me when i say that iam a pretty good player and don't look only at my rating. When i had more time it had to be higher then this. I have 7 levels 80's so i know most classes pretty good. And i play my druid for years now so my skill is very high. And believe me, these days there are not many skilled druids anymore. You will be proud on me haha

Yeah your ratings don't show your skill just yet. :P Just wait until Zodi passes her trial and then you'll have a good shot joining as friend probably.

saying you're good and having highest personal rating of 1869 as a druid in 2v2 after >1000 games is just bs

Well thats easy to explain.... I just have played a wile for fun and not that serious. If you play arena with a hunter.... what do you think then.... No druid can ever get hight then 1800 with a hunter and druid. So what i told you before.. Iam playing serious for a couple of months now and thats with Zodi. And she dont play with me when i suck :)

prime example of you not being good

kibe and finiter got to ~2550 last season as hunter druid, there are plenty comps you counter the shit out as druid hunter (biggest example mage priest)

i'm not trying to be a massive dick here, but instead of making a humble apply, and focussing on coming over as a nice and friendly guy, eager to learn (eager to learn seeing you clearly dont meet our PVP standards and we need A reason to take you on the team) you alrdy stated multiple times that u're 'good' and f.e

. I have  ahigh skill and after Zodi iam the best druid!!!! haha
i'm not sure if thats meant as a joke but the only reason u'd ever be the #2 druid on the realm would be there not being any other participating in PVP

1900 in 2v2 is not impressive at all, as that's lower than what most of us play our alts at.

If you want to be part of the community, you should rather apply as friend once zodi passes her trial

Read the PvP requirements post before you apply!

Friend/community application would be better -- after Zodiacc passes her trial.

(I will be making it easier to join IE, but not right now -- maybe after the weekend.)

We're sorry if we gave you that impression, because that's not the intention we had. It's still a bit of a habit in Iron Edge to challenge new applicants with spicy requirements and harsh statements and questions.
However this does not fit Iron Edge at all, so we hope you'll forgive us and try to write a new application once Zodi's trial period is over :)

Hope to see you again soon!

no1 here tried to be an ass to you, but you have got to realize that we do have some requirements to the people we recruit, like you may have noticed, not just anybody walks around wearing the Iron Edge tag, and things have been like this for years.

we have 3 ways to apply to Iron Edge, either as a raider, a PVPer or friends&(or)family of one of Iron Edge's members. The latter is our only rank which doesn't really require any ingame achievements from the aplicant.

Our raider rank in general requires you to be geared and experienced in raiding environments (iron edge A team is still one of the best raid teams on the realm, and has been so since vanilla), even the B team was a top5-7ish team till none of us could be bothered anymore.

PVPwise, untill Therash became the PVP officer one of the requirements was that the applicant was either a gladiator or gladiator in the making. We slightly lowered these requirements to match rated BGs, but are still well aware of what ratings are concidered 'good' and what's 'mediocre'. In Zodi's case, her ratings just cut it, but nothing to be impressed about, her achievements the last seasons are probably one of the lower ones in our team. We could take learning from this that we possibly need to specialize our PVP requirements page somewhat.

It might have to do with the language barrier (I'm dutch myself aswell, so i know what its like to not have english as my native language) but your apply just looked to me like u had written it in ~3 minutes. Which just feels annoying for anyone who'se reading it. Combine that with you clearly not meeting our standards, and possibly making a wrong joke or 2 (best druid/good player) and it results in quite some negative feedback.

Don't let the negative feedback get to you however, we are quite friendly community who like to play many games with eachother. Make sure you know where you personally stand as a player (in my case, i'm a wizard mage s8 Gladiator, I know my class quite well after playing it for 7 seasons, but i'm well aware that my position on dunemaul is mostly due to lack of competition/other people pushing for Gladiator. Our bg is semi decent, but i'm fairly sure i'm only mediocre compared to many other mages in Europe and the US).

If zodi does get membership, do come back to apply as F&F. Realize that 80% of our PVP teams core is people Glad worthy or Gladiators and just be a part of the community. Especially with the way rated BGs work i'm sure people will ask you to play rated BGs with them, and we'll see where we take it from there. ;)

Well what can i say.... I have write that aply on my work. Some people have to work and have to write apply's on work. So diddnt had many time to do it.
And yes i know it was a short apply and yes iam a officer and know how to write apply's.
And yes again.... it was a joke about that best druid thing..
But how can i explain so that you can understand that when you have stopped playing for a wile and started with low gear... wile everyone around you are walking in  (that time) full relentless/wrathfull gear you dont get high in rating that fast. It cost time to get gear from bg at first and then to find a arena m8 and work up high. If you have only one month to do that. Then i can only say that it pretty impressive that i came that far in a short time.

But.. i can understand that my rating is to low for your guild and i except that offcourse. I dont wanna join a guild where evreyone is getting in that easy. Iam a serious player and want to win allways. And that can only with people who are that serious too..

well thankx for all your reactions and if you still want me let me know or anyway thankx for your time.

The trouble is you have, jokingly maybe, claimed things in your application that you cannot back up with actual evidence.  Being the 2nd best druid on the server, not being able to get above a certain rating with a certain comp and so on.  This has caused some, perhaps overly negative, response from our PvPers.

As a side note, it's possible to spend more than 3 minutes on an application, even if you don't have more than 3 minutes in a particular day.  Make some notes/start writing it in notepad and save it for later or email it to yourself or something.  Do some more when you get home or the next day.  Your app is the first thing we see from you.  First impressions and all that.

Anyway, good luck.

What I don't seem to understand in this weird application
is why we wouldn't simply demand a simple explanation
from our newfound lock, the one without cock
hey zodi, speak up for your homeboy before the clock goes tok.

Good to see my lovely cousin apply here!
I must admit i haven't been much active on the forum last weekend, so i kinda missed what was going on here.

Apart from the fact he's my cousin, i can promise you this is a nice, social and friendly guy. Maybe his jokes were misplaced in some eyes, dont take it that serious. You guys aint taking me serious either are you? ^^

I know some stuff about his experience, as i played 2s with him for some weeks, when i had less gear myself as well. I was like furious/relentless geared back then, facing wrathfull people on 1950/2000. I know he is a decent druid in arena, at least in 2s. I havent seen him playing in 3v3/ 5v5, but i know he wasnt able to play a lot back then. Thats also one of the reasons he didnt have the chance to max out his experience and grow in skills. It always takes a while to get the drill in arena. This is his first arena season and he's been doing very fine. Im still helping him with stuff on his druid, as i got a druid myself as well. I'm kinda his personal teacher. I'll make sure he's gonna be awesum in cata ^^

Altho, hes a decent player in arena but even better in Battlegrounds. Ive been doing some BGs with him and hes rlly doing a good job. He knows what to do and he knows his class very well. I think he can rlly be an upgrade in the upcoming rated BG and even arena.

Specially now cataclysm comes up, remco is able to start all over with the same chances as we all have ;  gear wise. He's always been less-geared then anyone else which doesnt make it easier for him. Now he will have a chance to get up with the rest and show us how good he's gonna be.

I have faith in this guy, i hope u guys have too =)

I'm sure he's a great guy, and so we're not permanently declining him. The problem is just that he hasn't shown enough skill YET. When he's got some nice stats and gear, he is very welcome to re-apply as community member or PvP member :)
