Hmm, I originally respected these guys for showing massive exploits in Sony's systems.
Then they posted people private details online which is a proper dick move by them. Now they are just turning to shitty no skill DDoS on game servers. I don't get why, I think they have just run out of actual things they can do and just resort to denial of service.
Hnng just pissed cause HoN has been unstable enough as it is and now LulzSec go and DDoS.

The best bit is they now have a telephone helpline where you can phone in and ask them to hack a game/game provider. So cool.

I think it's great that what they are doing is actually possible, though. Helps keep people in check!

Well DDoS is no skill, doesn't require any specialist knowledge at all.

I would say its quite sad that its possible to hack so many big sites with simple mysql injection. Quite sad.
And I agree with both of you. Its cool that its possible to do ddos's it makes it possible for people to rise up online.
I also agree that ddos doesnt require much skill, but it does require organization or skill.

Really, I don't even give a shit how hard it is or not for them to be douchebags. If, in order to hack xyz server it was necessary to climb the empire state building using only their toes, blindfolded, carrying an elephant with their armpit hairs and unicycling upside down at the same time as filming it themsleves as they do it with cameras powered by a constant clenching and unclenching of buttcheeks, cameras which by the way should they lose power will detonate the claymore mines strapped to them it would still be a douchebag act and I still wouldn't see any reason to think they're cool or deserving of anything better than derision.
It's a terrible, sweeping stereotype to invoke but it truly does seem to be the acts of those who never got to 'be the big man' or infact any respect in some other aspect of their life and are compensating. That kind of pitiable and repulsive person just fills me with disgust.
Also, I don't see how it's great that it's possible to use the internet to fuck with legitimate businesses and their customers because you don't like the cut of their jib, which appears to frequently be the case. That or "we fucked this shit up because it was possible and people need to know that it's possible... by us fucking their shit up!". I suppose with that reasoning ability it's a good thing they're not street thugs who utilise a handinwallet injection rather than mysql.

Yep, wholeheartedly agree. They could quite easily find the hole, and then responsibly report it to the company. That's how you're meant to handle security exploits!
Then, once they've fixed the hole, you're allowed to write about it.

Just wish they'd left the 'normal' community alone. We got nothing to do with their warmongering! Just leave the HoN servers alone goshdarnit!
