So I ran my balance druid through the rawr optimization that takes a few minutes.
The result was a 0.37% drop in rating....
According to the main balance thread on EJ I should reforge haste, but rawr wants me to reforge to crit.
So does reforgenator...
HEEEEELP!

Isn't there a spreadsheet called wrathcalc (or something similar). Rawr isn't always the best thing to use, it really depends on how active someone is updating it.
Running your gear through SimulationCraft (http://code.google.com/p/simulationcraft/)
I get Int 1 > spi/hit 0.73 > haste 0.57 >>>>>>>> mastery 0.39 >>> crit 0.32
I've attached the result for simc.

Looking at the Lappe's (Paragon moonkin) he follows haste > mastery > crit.
Here is the wrathcalcs (http://elitistjerks.com/f73/t114017-balance_wrathcalcs/) I was talking about.
-
yeah I saw wrathcalc earlier, my main concern is why rawr would actually objectively downgrade my gear.
-
This site has good overall guides on specs and stuff. Been using it while leveling and gearing alts etc.

It's cause you have it set to overall rating and not dps rating. It takes in survivability and not only dps.
Once you clicked optimiser make sure to swap to dps rating at the top and then choose max thoroughness
-
It has added 0 survivability just crit and mastery over haste does that make me survive?
-
I have no idea mate, just saying that you set it wrong. I don't know if rawr is the way to go for balance either, it is for mages and lots of other classes.
-
As bear I have threat and survivability and I can choose overall in between.
As moonkin I have overall, burst dps and sustainable dps, so I would guess that overall was between those two.
On max thoroughness I got to 1% in 30 minutes, must be a pretty shitty algorithm.
-
Well, you are probably be right. I tries rawr for my bear and it sucked, did really weird stuff. Go to EJ and check what people seem to be using
-
I tried again this morning after reforging according to EJ.
Used the sustained dps setting and got a -0.61% change
-
Does rawr do well for ret?
-
It used to be pretty good for rets in wotlk, but the person maintaining it stopped playing. I believe someone just started it again or other update it periodically without indepth knowledge of the class.
I just took a quick look at it and the stat weights seem reasonable, but the optimizer tool changed my gear setup with a 3.3% dps loss.
-
The optimizer seems bugged, when it even tells us that it has decreased dps.
