Hello guys. I'm looking for some advices which hardware parts of my Pc I should replace/upgrate first and which are not that needed . I bought my Pc like 4-5 years ago and back then I never really had some major issues while raiding , but now since the engine is abit heavy and my pc become old I'm experiance some problems with my fps during raids even after I changed my ram from 2 gig to 4 gigs that didnt help me much . On bosses like Alistrazor , Majordomo I'm going down sometimes to 5-7fps which makes simple things harder . To avoid buying a completely new Pc and save some money which hardware you think I should replace to increase my fps and improve my video preformance . I'm using Intel Quad Core CPU Q6600 @ 2400Ghz , 4gb Ddr2 Ram , Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX video card.

RAM is always a cheap upgrade, wouldn't hurt getting another set, 2 or 4 gig (If you got the OS for it)
as for your CPU and graphics card, they are indeed quite old :p Most of the cheapest stuff out there would probably be a good upgrade. Not sure how heavy the wow engine has become these days, but my computer is having some problems as well (buying a new one asap).
A good upgrade kit could include:

As for your graphics card, it's a good one (in it's days), but you probably want to consider replacing it as well. You can get a totally fine card for around ?60. So for around ?400 you should see a pretty solid increase in performance!
(make sure your power supply can handle the upgrade :P, I'd say 550W minimum)

Do you have to use Intel CPU? You can get way better performance and cheaper solution with amd.
Wow engine is quite optimized runs almost full opengl and directX ( which enables you to run it even on Linux smoothly ).
You can go for ati radeon5770 cheap solution but will run the game on 60 fps 25m Majordomo full detail with projected textures etc..( i recommend asus cu-core version )
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO is a nice board for Amd setups supports crossfire :)
If your windows is not 64 bit there is no point on going for more than 4gb's of RAM, unless you enable PAE read: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366796%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
and if you can give a price range i can recommend more :) . and you are talking about ? right?

If you want WoW to run smoothly, upgrade your cpu before upgrading your gfx card. Cpu/system means far more to wow than a powerful gfx card.

Strange that you are experiencing such bad performance. I'm using a C2Quad Q9650@3Ghz, 8gb ram and the same GFX card. I can't say that I have bad FPS - surely not be best, but fine for playing.
Even before I upgraded the CPU from a C2Duo, it was fine (post FL).
Maybe something else is wrong?

Mhm I cant think of anything alse really Rocca , all my video settings are on low , I stop using nearly half of my addons and even stop using sound effects to increase abit the preformance lol . May be its the resolution that cuts a bit fps too I play with 1680x1050(wide) since my monitor is 22inch wide(I tryied using lower resolution but it looks pretty bad) or just as I sad above old hardware that I have to replace ...

I ran wow fine with a setup with a quadcore 2 ghz but with a geforce 9500 gt.

Looking at those specs I also find it strange that you have such low FPS..
Anyway I'd go with what arches says. Getting the intel second generation i3/i5/i7 is a solid upgrade, and gives you lots of potential to upgrade your graphics card over time as well.
Might be thinking a little too long-term here, but you might wanna look into a board that has a sata-6 connection as well. In case you ever decide to get an SSD in there.
4 gig ram should be fine, but yeah, 6 or 8 gigs is nice if you want to run lots of other shit next to WoW.

You could just ask me m8, you know i am studying that in the uni :)
Anyway what others said, Intel i3/i5/i7 processors are best nowadays, 6 or 8 GB RAM isn't so necessary, best operation memory with good price is 4 GB RAM DDR3. The Video you can add to that configuration could be GeForce 8800 GT (or some better Nvidia card) or ATI RADEON 6500+, something like that is enought to play WoW on Medium/High Effects.

Edit: before that, I'd update all drivers and try that first.

you dont need to reinstall, even if you change your mainboard,
check the intructions on google about " NewSid", this tool was working great with XP and Vista; never tried with 7, but I am sure keyword will lead you for a similar solution.

Actually if the north bridge driver is different you ll need to install the whole OS again :)
