I was hoping this would be about cool music from games :(  I'll just pretend it is.  I always liked the e1m1 music from the original Doom.

The original midi file sounded far better :(

There's a ton of other great tracks from Doom, too.  Some very creepy ones.

Since midi is just notes really, I guess it really depends what you played it with.

Dont we all miss the late 90's where all private websites had midi soundtracks?

I just saw people throwing music from games around, didn't even realise what the actual topic was! Generally I listen to metal. As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive, All That Remains etc for fast paced gameplay or All Shall Perish, Carnifex, Job For a Cowboy, Lamb of God, Slipknot etc for something that needs a bit of oomph! Often a bit of hardstyle does the trick too.

this was one of the best (maybe the best) game themes of the Amiga Era.

SHadow of the Beast & Turricane's music was also nice.

When I game and listen to music in the background I tend to see my character as if it was in a movie, or maybe that's because I most of the time have soundtracks from either movies or trailers in the background, my mind can always change the mental speed of the sound and adjust it to what's going on in-game. Cool huh.

For fast beat tracks I'm a huge fan of The Luna Sequence and the occasional Glitch Mob.

I still think that Castlevania: Symphony of the Night had one of the sickest soundtracks in a game. I still play that game now and then :D

The main theme:

Boss theme:

Music played in the castle library:

Music played in the underground parts of the castle:

Music played in a towerlike structure:

even the oldest fps games like Heretic, Doom had it. But i am afraid Turricane did not.
The answer you are expecting is coming: "it's a biiiiig negative for Turricane"
But the real answer in my mind: "TTAM likes to troll, so let him have his fun for godsake"
