depends on what you like, I guess you mean for world of warcraft?
I'd say the most important thing is to pick something that you like, because some players prefer smaller mice, while others want to rest their entire palm on it.
also, I prefer cloth pads over glass pads.
For the mouse, two really good lightweight mice are the steelseries kinzu and microsoft intellimouse 3.0. The Kinzu is really popular, but it does have a weird hardware based acceleration that you can't turn off, so you need to get used to it. If you want something bigger, the razer deathadder is really good, or just one of the classic logitech mice (for example mx518). I personally use a mx518, but I think I want to switch to a lighter one at some point for rts gaming.
As for the pad, I've tried a few. If you're on a tight budget just get an allsop one, they're good enough for most things. I personally use steelseries qck, which is a great pad. I don't really know anything about glass-pads, they just don't feel right for me.
So yeah, in conclusion
steelseries qck is a very good mousepad
pick a mouse you like, I suggested razer deathadder, MS intellimous, logitech mx518 and steelseries kinzu.

In my opinion, the choice is very easy, at least for me. Following are two of my personal favourites:

too many buttons!
I guess it's good for wow?
-
He plays sc now, atleast not seen him online on wow for months.

Always wondered what the Naga was like for WoW. Was considering getting it before, but thought too many buttons.
-
I like the Razer Mamba, never had problem with it.
-
As mouse pad i bought Razer Kabuto , and its not to big but its not moving around or something so i'm happy with it and i would also suggest naga as mouse. Got it and i love it =p and if ya play SC alot , very usefull to bind everything with also

Using a naga for WoW with a logitec g19 keyboard. They're both very nice.
-
i got the g19 , but tbh , if you have a naga u'r not really using keybindings on you g19 , so wouldn't suggest it tbh.lotsa money afterall

I'm wanting to get the Logitech G13 to compliment my Logitech MX1000 mouse. Thinking about the Naga

The Razer Molten Edition mouse I posted is specifically made for MMO's, so yes, it is great for WoW as well. In the beggining it does take some time to make yourself comfortable with all the buttons, but once you do, I guarantee your gaming experience will be perfect! :)
-
Saitek (now Cyborg) V5 keyboard! Only the buttons you need.
I've been using a G9 mouse for ages. Need to replace it.
-
I like my g15 and g500, with a razer exactmat.
-
IE 3.0 (even matches the guild name) and icemat with some skatez for total frictionless movement.
I loved the setup since it was actually popular back in the cs 1.2 times. IE 3.0 got upgraded and icemat got bigger since then though

For WoW, Razer Naga is the best mouse if you bind you abilities. The mouse is comfortable and takes you few hours to get used to the buttons.
-
imo not only WoW , i use it to bind on SC,TES, basicly every game that uses skills or has shortcuts where u else needed to press another button =p
